Has a 1985 through 1991 GRC member and yes I marched in 7th grade all the way through high school. I am actually very impressed with this show from Lafayette! They finally have a good director! But, they’ll be no better director than Jeff Hood! Just saying!! Love all the high school bands. I would love to have been there but unfortunately I am fighting cancer. I’m definitely looking forward to next year!!
@@goolghost1384 Not gonna argue with the finals spread but that semis spread was ridiculous. No universe where they should have been 9th in vis ensemble.
Wait what is the difference between this group and the "mighty lion marching band" with the red uniforms? Are they two separate marching bands from the same school? Like a top and intermediate group or something? I know Lafayette has always had a really large band so I guess that would make sense
@@superscotty760 oh man I was SO confused. Not sure how I didn't catch that. I just saw "Lafayette High School" and "State Finals" and assumed this was from the Louisiana band showcase, which occurred at roughly the same time as this video was uploaded. Now I am seeing this video and realizing it's a completely different stadium so it's obviously not the same "state finals" that I was looking for lol

Lebrobro they were 2.5 behind in finals not to mention 5 points behind in semis. So im guessing your comment is opinion based? 🥸👍🤯

@beepbeep5775 I imagine it was because their tarp kept blowing over, not to mention they were generally dirty through out the season.

@@sethg7437 Back in the 1980s we thought they were black and red. Awesome, awesome uniforms they had. Struck fear in people to see them 😃
