I recommend the Krakow nativity scene exhibition. Every year, on the first Thursday of December (this year, December 2, 2021), nativity scenes bring their works to the Main Square and place them on the steps of the Adam Mickiewicz monument, where they can be admired from 10.00 to 12.00. After the Krakow bugle call at At 12.00 a procession of nativity scenes starts around the Market Square, led by a folk band from Bronowice, which leads to the stage, where nativity scenes and nativity scene makers are presented. Then, the authors transfer their works to the Krzysztofory Palace, where they will be assessed by the Jury, including from historians, ethnographers, art historians, architects and artists. I'm surprised that THIS genuine KRAKOW made Christmas ornaments shop doesn't choose to have a sales booth at the outdoor market? I had a cousin who was a merchant in another European country who ALWAYS attended the local, twice monthly, "SATURDAY", open air market to peddle his wares.
PS: The "CHRISTMAS SINGING" is called "KOLENDA" or "KOLENDY". It's a set "run" of songs begun about an hour BEFORE 12:00 MIDNIGHT on CHRISTMAS EVE and culminating with the grand chorus announcing the birth of Jesus and the Holy Mass to immediately follow as CHRISTMAS DAY dawns. It's a VERY long night in church for us Polish folk and our guests!

Poles as you know, are as protective and demanding of accuracy in their language as other more well known nations (eg.the French). Once again, many thanks. PS: I am of Polish heritage myself on my Dad's side. Though he WAS very proud of his origins and inculcated me as much as possible in his culture, like most immigrants to these shores he and my Mom from yet another European nation and culture (Latin not Slavic!) wanted their progeny to be well educated to master ENGLISH. They KNEW this was the key to social advancement and prosperity here in the land where "The streets are paved with gold!". I am VERY grateful to and proud of my parents and their humble beginnings as farmers back home in the "old" country.. Lots of temptations there, but I have to say those handcrafted baubles are my weakness, it's such a beautiful tradition and fantastic workmanship. Are you SURE all of those pieces were made in Poland? That last rack of pottery looked remarkably like the "DELFT" ones (BLUE&WHITE porcelain.) we get here in the NYC area in our shops.
I think its good to write in English to Ged ...he speaks native English Its a bonus to people who are practicing English to listen and read his reply. He speaks clearly... Nina is learning Polish , being a Slav her pronunciation is perfect and helps Ged. We Poles recently learned that word .... węgierski looks like wegański to an untrained eye. Ged while waiting in Podgòrze for Nina...was reading and filming a menu of food on offer on the stall. In fact it was an advert and information order for Christmas from that stall. Busy people take note . We ,when in Krakòw every Christnas until pandemic which keeps us in London ,ordered our food in Hawełka's kiermasz....menu for this Christmas is already published on line -on their website. Maybe we will make it in 2022 for their Easter kiermasz.

I think its good to write in English to Ged ...he speaks native English Its a bonus to people who are practicing English to listen and read his reply. He speaks clearly...
Nina is learning Polish , being a Slav her pronunciation is perfect and helps Ged.
We Poles recently learned that word .... węgierski looks like wegański to an untrained eye.
Ged while waiting in Podgòrze for Nina...was reading and filming a menu of food on offer on the stall.
In fact it was an advert and information order for Christmas from that stall.
Busy people take note .
We ,when in Krakòw every Christnas until pandemic which keeps us in London ,ordered our food in Hawełka's kiermasz....menu for this Christmas is already published on line -on their website.
Maybe we will make it in 2022 for their Easter kiermasz.
Maybe I need to make an order!
