When all these car companies keep making vehicles bigger it's nice to know there's one at least considering going smaller. Small vehicles are terribly underrated.
Ford released the maverick in 22. I think more than a couple of companies are figuring out that not everyone needs/wants a massive vehicle.

We need more of these types of vehicles… Instead our roads are packed full of TechBro-soccer moms in LTD Broncos with traction boards, ladders and gas cans when they only got to LuluLemon and Soul Cycle.

Jimny has gone silly they used to be a cheap car . I think Toyota would make a better job for sure though I’m not a big fan of the Rav 4 the first one was ok . But I don’t think I’ll ever be in a position to buy a electric car

Had Toyota increased visibility by enlarging the windows (lowering the door) they would have sold more FJ Cruisers,I loved it, but the visibility off road sucked big time!

Finally, companies are noticing the suzuki Jimny market. There are literally no other competitors to the Jimny besides the Jeep Wrangler 2 door but its engine explodes lol. Maybe now with more quality small offroaders, Suzuki will give the Jimny an engine boost
The 2.7 4cyl. has proven itself in the Tacoma prerunner.
I am pretty sure the 2023 Land Cruiser Prado I rented in Japan had one of these 2.7L engines (naturally aspirated). I was surprised how it made that thing move. Not as satisfying as my 4.0L 4Runner but we had 4 guys with luggage in it in the mountains and it seemed to get the job done. Just not quite as authoritative as a V6.

The problem that I’ve had with Toyota I find a vehicle of theirs that I like and then it’s four years before I have an opportunity to purchase it and in the interim I purchased a different vehicle. Not having the luxury of working on their time schedule. I see the same problem with the new motorcycles the Asian market seems to get them first and the timing just never seems to work out. If they can bring it to market and bring it to the shores of the United States let’s do it!
