Hi Lisa I am currently making your self binding knit baby blanket pattern for my 2 grandsons - also going to daycare needing a sleep blanket. The jersey top fabric tucked under the self binding is curling - despite pressing. Could you please suggest what to do? Also for best washing results, did you decide (later) to stitch the two layers together? Thank you in advance. Marilyn (from Australia)
Hi Marilyn, I am glad you are trying the blanket. If you have a serger, I would serge the edges of the jersey to help them lie flat. The only stitching I did was the blanket stitch on the inside edge and it was fine. If you find it is bumpy, you could run the blanket stitch around the outside edge as well. That would catch the jersey and keep it flat. I hope that helps!
