I just barely heard the V-8! WILD! That looks like a fine machine. I've been around Volvo's but never in one. Always Cats , Terex's and A/C's and would like to dabble in one to compare. Thanks , Pal!

Is hoisting the bucket how the machine weighs the load? Wondering about the early hoist on each third bucket.

Yes. I don't know which system this machine uses but... Tamtron Power 300i is a system I've used for many moons.
The Power 300i system however got lots of annoying kinks to it's user interface. It's quite frustrating and time consuming at times to use. They've also put in a cheapo touch screen that works poorly.
Though, it does great when it comes to measuring the load that you got in your bucket. It's quite accurate on that point. Usually it's on the money, within 50-100kg for even big machinery (>28ton).

I've only used load Rite scale's and you don't get an accurate weight with the loader moving it'll be slightly inaccurate and any variations to the way you lift the boom in weighing will alter the weight on the scales it won't be much for each bucket but over a whole load will mean you overload or under load the truck generally with that system you lift your hoist in a stationary position at least for loading trucks as it has to be fairly accurate with weighting products to stockpile if the site doesn't have a telestacker or the conveyor has a small captivity where the product falls I always did that while moving as I approached where I was stockpiling as it's too time consuming doing every bucket in a stationary position
