Definitely got into the truck since it's the most logical way of progressing the story. He goes to Auckland, makes a bit of money (Perhaps illegally but doesn't get caught) so he can provide a better environment for his siblings. People in NZ love to assume things about Maori people, and don't bother to dissect their living circumstances, and rough childhood. The Europeans just came to NZ, took the land through war and deceit, and left the Maori society CRIPPLED which resulted in them being moved into settlements and ghettos so that the supreme colonisers are able to benefit off the NZ land and retain their wealth which is STILL seen today in New Zealand. All the rich neighborhoods in NZ were mostly wealth generated from the previous generations of the family. They are still wealthy off the actions of the colonising europeans, and the Maori people are still left in ghettos and environments that result in children being brought up in those environments to repeat the same mistakes of their parents.

dope moneys too slow in aux, back then in the films time era maybe more profitable yet bit more dangerous.

@@Makimade Rightm, yeah. Perhaps he doesn't sell dope up in AKL, but maybe does some type of heist or ramraid, and shows the corrupt side of NZ police. This short film can go in so many exciting directions, Im kinda sad they didnt really continue on with this film.

I would say 50% of Maori people are like this , if you see how often Ramraids happen and the type of people who are doing this bad behavior are Maori or pacific island .
