How is the IIQF financial engineering certification? How much is it recognised by industry?

Hello sir , I am pursuing an bachelor in engineering majoring in Aerospace engineering and a masters degree in Financial Engineering from IIT Kharagpur . In my campus we don't see big hfts hiring except a few from the computer science degree . Could you suggest a road map or a plan so I could get into quant researcher and trading roles.

Yes but quant finance has a lot of math so take courses in math (such as probability theory, statistics, stochastic calculus) before going into a masters.

No. You need advanced math skills i.e real analysis, abstract algebra, multivariable calculus to do quant job
