Only difference between my goals list and yours is that your list has Persian on it, while mine has Spanish. ;-) Yes, it's good to focus on specific resource. I had the same issue as you spreading myself too thin over too many resurces for each, but it has some advatnage to it as it keeps one motivated to go on learning but for more visible progress this year, like you, I want to do more focused learning following a mixture of quaterly goals planning with 12 weeks-long-year idea of measuring progress. Only low level langauge n my list happens to be German but this is why I will need to plan well for it, so that I could achieve my goal of brining it up to a decent B1 level at the end of this year.
Extensive listening is also really good for learning and maintaining languages... Polyglot Beats here on youtube is great for bilingual stories where they read one sentence in English, then re-read the same in target language (their playlist section has over 20 languages)... I listen while walking and driving - you need to get the language in you!! The more exposure the better😊😊 great channel.
Just found your channel and have subscribed! Just a tip: the way you are using the word "exaggerate" is incorrect. Better options would be: overreach, try to do too much, bit off more than I could chew. Examples: I overreached with my goals this year. I bit off more than I could chew. I tried to do too much.
I found you trying to look up the Assimil Persian book, I have just started and will also do an online group class for Persian starting January. In 2025, I’m also looking to finally break the barrier between intermediate and advanced in European Portuguese and brush up on my French and Italian. I’ve never heard of Link (?) before. Do you mostly focus on reading?
Wow ..a lot of languages ... but as you said in your video #2 you like to learn languages. Any deeper sense behind it ? So you're stumbling in every Italian restaurant next to you to speak and learn a bit? (I'm just joking) .. doing a 2 hours train trip to Straßburg/Strasbourg .. however: I wish you much success or progress in 2025 I myself stutter a bit English LOL .. and I follow this maxim somebody told me once: Somehow you will be understood. But in addition: Be brave to speak it - this is important 🙂
Not really :) Of course, I take every opportunity to immerse myself in the language, for example, when I travel. I’d say it made sense to learn English and German. For other languages, I don’t have a specific reason-I just enjoy it.
@ozge.akdogan That's quite a fair misgiving. A Discord server can be a fun way to have a far more interactive experience with your community (and to help with feedback and gain new ideas). It might be fun, but then again, the channel is yours.
Best of luck accomplishing your goals! 😊
Thank you so much! Best of luck to you too 🍀😊

It’s cool 😎 I also like the idea of measuring your progress in each quarter. 👍

Thank you! I will check it.

Thank you for the tip! I have added it to my vocabulary list. 😊

I wish you a good start with learning Persian. 🍀 My focus is mostly on listening and reading.
I think she means LingQ

You are inspiring🤍
Özge hanım, will you ever make a Discord server?
I’ve never thought about that before. I’m not sure how it could help the subscribers 🤷🏻♀️
