this is probably the best fortnite video I've ever seen! hats off 🎩
agreed but there could be one video that is better that us shooting them withoat them being able to shoot u.its not the same becose u can stay in a plece where there is a wall edited botom right half off and u shoot their toes every time even if they try to peek u or when u are jumping up the back edited floor with stairs above u ur cant be shoot if they aint too close
Thanks! You make the best training videos for Fortnite without any garbage. I am following you since last couple of years and you always keep it real!
Hope you find ways to promote yourself, by collaborating with other creators or something coz people need to find you for best gaming advice and training.
left hand peeking and right foot creeping
Also, make sure to change the diagonal movement keybinds on keyboard and mouse. It'll allow you to move at top speed diagonally instead of strafing.
This just changed my perspective on how I should be peaking from now on. Great video!
Very helpful and informative video. Another gem in fortnite educational content. Thank you for your work.
Admittedly I'm just a casual. I try to outplay others though know the majority of the time I'm outmatched. Still I enjoy watching your videos and learning the subtle nuances that go into high level game play and learning how and why I die in certain situations. Thank you for taking the time to break things down in a way that's easy to understand.
welcome to the club. I'm 48 and love to play BR with my son (14) who feels like a fish in the water and can take an average squad on alone... while I'm more of an ESP (Emotional Support Player). I die a lot and my progress is plodding but I try to learn from Billy, and at least slowly start making less dumb decisions and add a few smarter ones. Just wanted to let you know, you are not the only one struggling with the skill gap in the absurdly complex game :)
@@UldisBizreminds me of my friend who’s 14, that’s also called billy lol
@@ZackCrombe does he have a struggling Fortnite dad? :D
@@UldisBiz possibly. i don’t know tho
One of the most well-explained FPS peeking videos I've ever seen. These tips apply to any FPS game too, not just Fortnite.
0:58 is so simple yet not many people understand it including myself this is starting to get beyond me
Holy crap thanks ive absolutely been lost why people can peek behind walls and not actually poke their head out thanks
This is exactly what ive been trying to learn! Thank you!
can you tell me how your game very smooth , my ping 10ms and 400+ fbs
Extremely helpful advice. Going to practice that peak into crouch walk. Thx billy
Best video I’ve ever seen. I’m a noob at fort and this was a great way to introduce basics.
I recently died to this similar scenario and when I clipped it I went back and watched it and on my screen I was back behind my edit and the enemy killed me because of the peak delay
Please make an updated guide for complete beginners. A step by step guide to learn build fight and go professional.
Billy has the biggest Fortnite brain 🧠 lol him and Raider464 are like the scientist and engineers of Fortnite 😁 Thanks for all your research Billy
Good stuff and good timing for me. Reinforced the private coaching (worth it for any player in my opinion). Appreciate the video, brother!
This video unlocked how to actually fight for me.
The best Fortnite tutorial I've seen in a long time! Thank you for your efforts, great video Billy!
I'm new I subbed to you I learnt alot from your video

These are the absolute BEST fn tutorials! Calm, clear, detailed, enlightening and thought provoking! Please keep making them 😀 can’t wait for the next one
Essentially peakers advantage is your game recognises your own movement first before other people's pcs get the info that your character moved but surely ping actually helps you get the advantage lol or a low upload haha
Actually, when your ping is higher - your peeker's advantage is better, not worse.
@Billy Bicep that's what I meant lol I should have said bad ping haha
With 70 ping, I ain't gonna go to the left to peek, they always see me first lol
70 ping actually makes peeker's advantage stronger for you. Unfortunately, it also makes it stronger for your opponent, meaning you REALLY need to be peeking first
7:50, does targeting alter the size of your hitbox? Targeting might make your model peak out less but it does it actually change the size of the hitbox? Also what is the mechanism that effects left hand peeking vs stationary rhp? I’m not getting how movement on the lhp side lets them see their opponent faster than a rhp
Targeting tucks your elbow, preventing your opponent from shooting it. It does change the size of your hitbox from your opponent's perspective. Peeker's advantage is harder to explain, so I guess I'll have to make a new video explaining it more clearly
@@BillyBicep hey, when will you stream in twitch again?
@@yKuroKenshi today! In about 2hrs
@@BillyBicep A more in-depth video would iron out some of the topic’s inherent confusion, but this is also helpful thank you.
I was under the impression “hitboxes” were just cylindrical like in UE. I’m guessing in Fortnite, there are different boxes for each body part. I don’t see any clear documentation to confirm. Maybe I’ll check them out in UEFN 🤔. There isn’t much information out there on Fortnite hitboxes outside of the “Are smaller models a competitive advantage” discussions. Would be cool if someone made a video showing exact hitbox outlines and how they change from one’s perspective.
Instead of crouching and walking forward after window peeking you could just reset after shooting but the other angles are good
What I’ve learned lately, is that A LOT of “pros” or content creators use cheats on their systems. Wall hacks and REAL aimbot allow for “unbelievable” win counts. Ship, EvolveJake…they’re just a few who people have claimed are using such things. Now when I see someone seriously rocking the game, they’re immediately sus 🤷🏼♂️
Holy moly. Pretty interesting details in this video
Makes sense why I always feel slow (200 ping)
Hey the creative map at 8:36 i cant find that mode in the map
could you please make a settings video please
I’m glad you touched on this
Well with the peeking advantage and all this advanced techniques, there are ways to deal with these advantages for those that may wonder. Sometimes, pros just edit a wall and trade shots, using different timing to gain advantage since they are both peeking. Secondly, you can pre fire and replace the wall, or pre fire and edit ramp/cone/whatever you have to get out of the situation. Lastly, peek more and create more opportunities for peeking.
real ones know the end music
Hmm...I actually like this one.
And this is why fortnite is so god damn hard
does the crouch move speed in season 5 change this advice at all?
dude was talking about shit I didnt even realize was in the game wtf insane video
Can you do how to get consistent mechs
heyyy billy's baaaack lesgoooooo
Gg for your your advices
Absolutely vital information, thanks for such a well made and helpful video
@BillyBicep is it just me or peaking option has been removed from Skaavok Aim Trainer. I couldn't find it. Thanks for an awesome tutorial.
most underrated mechanic nobody talks abt & the main reason some ppl dominate w/o insane mechs. amazing explanation
8:22 you do not need to be doing allat 💀
Well done video! This is my first discovery of your yt channel, and I'll for sure be back! Subscribed! Really loved the style of explanation including the summary at the end.
Fortnite PH.D holder 😂
Billy bicepp brr i used to watch u since i was 15 im 19 now and these still help
Bro, this is gold. Please delete 💀💀💀💀
what's the map code here ? 5:23
Most helpful vid out there
💜💜💜💜🤗 nice, bro
My experience is that everyone is hiding and then out of no where you get shot and then rushed like a maniac. If they don’t surprise shoot you while hiding you won’t find them. It kinds of ruins my experience of playing the game. I’m not hating. I just feel like I wasted my time learning how to build and edit for nothing cause people be playing different in ranked.
I love your tutorial type videos I always learn so much! Just curious do you still have a discord and do coaching? I feel I could learn a lot and improve from you!
this is my second vid of yours ive watched. thanks for making me crackd. you got my sub easy
new things i learned from this video: you should always be peaking, regardless of whether or not it's a right-hand peak or a left-hand peak unless your enemy is closer to the peak angle than you. And that the quick crouching will really help with making a better peak.
Wow. you're probably one of the best fortnite youtubers that i've ever seen. Seriously. I play with asia pros all the time but no one has ever really explained this to me in detail about how to peek. Thanks a lot
I just started trying build mode, thank you Sensei
Incredible breakdown of sever lag, this is even more exaggerated when your opponent is low ping... You die before you even see them even on left hand peeks sometimes
This is the best video I’ve ever seen I don’t usually like videos but you earned it❤
After I stopped playing fortnite I forgot about you. Definitely worth it finding you again.
Insane video! One inaccuracy thoug Ive found is your comparison of crouch walking and strafing at the 6 Minute mark. While crouch walking is indeed faster, there is a slow down on crouch walking and walking once you have fired a shot. It takes a while for the character to kinda change gears into the faster speed that you compare in the video. So the relevant speed comparison would have to be strafing vs crouch walking directly after taking a shotgun shot. Maybe you could test it out and report the results?
Also, there is no Peek course on the newest version of Skaavoks Aim Trainer anymore :( Anybody has a mapcode with a peek course?
Bro I just found your channel like 3 days ago… a lot of what you talk about are things I was doing subconsciously but I didn’t know why and it is mainly just because I see pros doing it. With your explanations, I can understand exactly why, when and how to use these advanced techniques. You’ve earned a subscriber, God bless brother!
Same love this guy literally found him 3 days ago just I basically watched all of his most popular videos just which uploaded more still love him
THANKS FOR THIS BILLY!! been watching since early chapter 1 content, so glad you're still making content now
New video from Billy? Watch > Like. Let's goooo!
W video! I watch a lot of Fortnite tip videos and haven't seen this anywhere, I really appreciate it 😊
In know this requires a high IQ.
I’m still practicing 😊.I love your vids
My man just explained Clix's play style in such a way,Bravoo
Hi Billy,
What do you think about fact a lots of creators suggest to let stand enemies in yours right part of display, is it a good advise? I’m wondering because in this video you say that you can use peek advantage also in left hand, so the previous one isn’t so true?
Havnt found someone this good at explaining peaks since zykoma
good ass video love the content i need more videos like this bro ❤
Can someone please elaborate or simplify on this? I can't wrap my head around left hand peek
7:15 why do you have to stand far enough away from the wall that your shotgun pulls up to your shoulder? Why can’t you just hug the wall as close as possible?
If you hug the wall, your elbow will show to the opponent
Hugging too close allows the opponent to shoot your hands
@@BillyBicep like through the wall?
Thx Billy a lot. You're the best coach. Good job.😀👍
only thing incorrect in this video is he doesnt take into account that the player's visibility comes from the camera being centered above the right shoulder. the gun's line of visibility is more important on whether you can actually hit a shot or not. exactly why there's a red x sometimes meaning just because you can visually see someone, doesn't mean you can actually hit them.
Hello i think u should make a video about far peek advantage And when u combine it thats when u peek well
Great video
instead of doing the crouch lookaway peek, just reset the edit 🤷♂
Is it not better to just instantly scroll reset the wall or build something in front of you?
Not always, and not in zero build, early- game, or when you need to peek through an opponent's build
@@BillyBicep That makes sense thanks for the answer
After playing red vs blue I had a suspicion now I know for sure 😅
I love you bro, I now really need something to encourage me in improving, and peeks is my huge skill gap, so your video is the thing i needed🖤
love it - my favorite Fortnite teacher -- thanks for the peek course island code and the video!
New subs❤
I still think aiming is more important, whats the point of peeking if you miss every shot (literally me)
Wait so what’s better the peaking technique or just peaking and resetting the wall right after
FIRST!
I can’t believe I’ve never heard of that LHP advantage.
This also stems alot from valorant
Valorant actually doesn't have nearly as much "Peeker's Advantage" as Fortnite, Apex, COD, or CSGO. Valorant's 120-tick servers - alongside its excellent net-coding (movement prediction especially) - there is a much smaller difference between your screen and your opponent's. If you watch CSGO tournaments, you'll often see defenders "jiggle-peeking" corners to get Peeker's Advantage just while holding angles. In Valorant though, it's more common to stand still while holding.
HELLO
Wow, I always be wondering why some days I'm not able to defend myself from opening edits but this is amazing! Really insightful with great examples ty 💪🏽
great info, unless of course you average 200 ping...
well the optimal peeking techniques are kinda outdated now that crouch speed has been reduced
I’m really impressed at the creativity of this video. Cheers.
Thanks Billy. True teacher hands down. Love u bro
