WOW !!! The amount of projects that you guys have in the works and the speed at which you get them done , not to mention the knowledge , creativity & skill .
I am so glad to see something other than a 350 in a hotrod. I rebuilt a 2001 Deville Northstar engine. That would be something different to go in a hotrod.
Cal-thanks for sharing ! This video certainly gives one an even greater appreciation for the creative engineering involved in developing these record breaking race 'machines' !
The skills these gentlemen have are incredible. Love watching all the odd engines these guys build and race! I don’t know how this channel doesn’t have more subscribers. There just aren’t people out there doing this kind of stuff anymore. Please don’t stop making these great videos!!!!!
Thank you for the positive comments and thanks for supporting the channel. Personal goal is to keep documenting everything that Pete and Kevin are doing . I have a 9-to-5 job so it’s hard to get over to the shop during the week to see all the cool stuff in action.
🤩 Omggggggggg ! ! Love It ! 🤩 I'd like a '36 Vicky done like this ! The GM driveline ( torque tube w/ trans in the rear ) makes perfect sense for the floor pans of these cars ! AWESOME STREET ROD ! ! 😇❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
WoW!! My dream car since I was a kid was a '34 3 window (they were never sold in Australia). I figured I'd never get one but being a metal man I "thought" the only way would be to fabricate my own. The marcel boys did a great job, but of course it's nothing without that motor!! Thanks again Greg! You have made my week, that's for sure!! 👍
These guys are awesome! This is a lost art. I'm glad they are doing all the hard work on all their projects. I wished I lived next door but I'm from Payne Ohio. Thanks for the great videos!
The stuff that comes from the minds of these guys and out of this workshop is absolutely mind-blowing. They are certified mechanical genius's or genii or maybe it's Genies because they make magic happen. Fantastic achievement 👍👍👍
Thank you Lars! We miss you guys. Hope to see you back is California again soon! Hope all is well in Germany? Hey, since you work for Volkswagen, do you think you could get us a VW -W12 engine to play with? Take care Greg Q
Those belts on the cams are WONDERFUL,,,Ford likes to bury the chains in their modern ohc motors 8" deep behind a ton of aluminum in the front. Belts are so much more accessible. Cool engine.
Now " THAT HITS THE SPOT " ! Always get my needed head fix... here. Thank you gentlemen... Now... when can I purchase a set of those heads ??? Respectfully, Seth ( bare, built, any stage... ) (( without valve holes and ports even... we have a program that will make another 125 hp... ))
We have purchased some on eBay and others at swap meets. You just have to keep looking. We usually spend about $2000 for a pair of heads, so they’re not cheap.
This, is hotrodding. Every vid is like a Q and A with Kevin & Pete, but a segment dedicated to viewer Q’s would be so cool. Personally I’ve got a 8.1 Vortec that I’m curious what Pete would do with it, if given one 😄
Thank you and nice to see this is making it to other parts of the World! I will post another video soon of a 2 valve LS conversion Pete and Kevin recently completed. Thanks Greg Q

Just awesome! Dohc and no stupid pushrods! Loving it! The body from flat sheet metal is just mind blowing. Power delivery looks amazing, it lights instantly and singing really nice!
Thanks, I used to live in Bonita when it was a horse town, loved Freshie's drive through dairy, 805 kinda changed all that. Of course I love all your stuff, that's why I'm subscribed.
Hey Pete the way you talked about the A. C. In the trunk, what about putting the cam shaft sensor in the back? If the drive shaft is always turning you can put it Back there too. Just a thought I love your car. Love your work. Maybe 1 day we can meet.
Thank you! The camshaft sensor was challenging on this one. The cam sensor wouldn’t work off the driveshaft as it need to be 1/2 the speed of the crankshaft and perfectly in phase with the mechanical timing. Usually the camshaft position sensor on an LS three engine is in the timing cover triggered off of the sprocket. However, that was all changed out differently for the overhead cam conversion and none of the existing LS three cam timing architecture remained in place. I was able to do some research and find out where the Crank and cam sensor correlation was on a stock LS three, and I was able to find the exact spot to make it work for Pete.
@GregQuirin I am disabled. I can barely leave my place. But I would love to pick up brain and see that engine and how you have it set up. I have so much in my mind. I can't explain it to you cause I'm using voice text and I'm dislexic, but I was very fascinated by your video keep. Good work I don't know without heavy machine and being done on the cam. You might be able to run it on the other end of the cam that will bring it into the firewall Make it easier to hide. Since you have barely any room for a hood if you do so. But please do keep making the vid.You are one of the few people were actually Respond when I write to them. Most people Do not even respond unless you donate money. PS what about using The flywheel and put the sensor on that.? I think That Good work. On another thought.-,, what's .bout the hermanic balancer if you have room there. Just an idea, good luck. Let me know what you think. Good idea, Bad ideas. Good or bad you learn from them. So please keep me Informed. Thank you.

I really like original clocks - round, with conventional dial faces and physical needles, housed in a case with a glass secured by a bezel. On a high end build like this, why not do something different with the instrument glass? If you fit a variable ND optical filter instead of clear glass, the instrument can be dimmed by rotating the bezel. This means the dial face can be a super bright digital backlit display, and the physical needle can be a super bright LED driven by a digital stepper motor. Dimming or brightening the instrument is fun, and intuitive like filament bulbs controlled by a rheostat.
I would guess to say yes, this is probably the only 6.2 4 valve LS conversion out there. Pete and Kevin recently completed a 2 valve OHC LS engine we will post here pretty soon. thank you Greg
Very cool engine, love it. However I am left asking myself why? There are tons of DOHC V-8's available that make more power than this combination. Love to see the head swap and old school hot rodding.
Yes there’s always gonna be something else that makes more power you could drop in. However, Pete and Kevin are true innovators and hot rodders. They have been doing this for a while. This is their golf game. Pete now has 37 landspeed records . This is really why they do what they do. Not to mention, they have the leading edge when it comes to this competitive racing which is all based off of their 4 valve cylinder head designs.

I dont know the RPM limits. Pete and Kevin have a 5L with the LT5 heads that turns up to 9000RPM on the track. Not sure what this one can do?
