You get out into nature one day. Rise above a valley on the side of a fairly steep terrain that isn't a path to just walk upon and you come out onto an open vista looking out across a mountain scape and trees; the terrain across the way; the blue sky and white huge clouds travelling enmasse out across the horizon... and to get yourself to settle down a bit: you just sit down right where you are and put your arms across your knees -stop, breathe...and just look out. You realize that this is truly and surely created and that therein, "so are you." The beauty points you to God, as you know that you yourself could not have made nearly this same setting as what you have encountered in the immensity of His vista. What reaches you is to pray to utmost thank Him for this day and your voice almost whispers, because you know now at this moment: it is just you and Him. What humility He has brought you to...in order to speak with Him. The idea of His salvation in Christ reaches your mind as well and you think of the landscape of heaven's plan to reveal love toward you as the beauty of the sky, mountains and greenery all around you. A plan whereby the Creator portrayed His love, so dependent on entering His own creation and that people would actually touch the Master as He walked along in the landscape of His day. You are amazed that you are saved by recognizing Jesus' unfailing love through the cross and shed blood and a resurrection into that sky you are observing. "Lord God, Your plans are grand and I am small on this plain of great wonderous things You have done." You find tears well, because you are so incapable of describing this joy of being before the great I AM, whom saved you because He loved... a love we do not understand, but yet can praise Him for incorporating us into, that, His Kingdom of beauty and reign and forever eternal peace...in order for you to just sit there and just utter in a small voice, resounding the mountains and sky and all the vista is showing you, "Thanks." "Thanks Lord and thanks for being here." -Living and Loving in Christ.
