That tongue flick sound is really awesome, and I think based on just testing tongue positions it's something similar to a Vortex Whistle, except you position your tongue up in the middle and pull in air on both sides, vibrating the bottom of your tongue on both sides. I've been able to get a pretty similar base sound, but have had a hard time figuring out how to oscillate it like he does because it requires a lot of control over your tongue.
