Extreme Ways is definitely one of my more autobiographical songs. And for the Reprise version i wanted to record and arrange a version that was as austere and vulnerable as possible. Hopefully that comes through in the song and video. - Moby

I’ve fought in a war , sailed around the World , climbed mountains . Where ever I have been , I have taken Moby,s music with me and shared it on distant shores where most music is unoptainable . Absolutely tells a story in every song.

The remarkable and beautiful thing about you Moby is you have a gift in the way that you let emotion flow. You do this for yourself in your music but the best thing is that you do it for us. There is a not a single person out there in my life that could offer me the same safe and connected feeling I get when I am listening to one of your songs. Watching this today has reminded me that now as an adult myself, all the beautiful bits of childhood that is in me has slowly chipped and fallen away throughout the years. Just like how a mountain has bits that break away, this has happened to me. Sending you a ridiculous amount love Moby. Feels strange to say this because technically you are a stranger to me but not when your music plays.

I started listening to Moby at the age of 14 - 15, he didn't make much sense to me back in 2000 but i enjoyed some of his pieces for their music. So many years later, he can bring tears in my eyes with his amazing work. One of my most favorite artists out there with whom i feel my soul connects through his music...

Although I did not know the English language then, it was great, to this day those songs sound in my head. I believe that no one else can make such soulful songs in our lifetime! thanks for being Moby! you created my childhood! I sometimes sit and cry to your songs. not because your songs are bad, but because time passes and we grow up, we realize that that time was great, our childhood is Moby! It's incredible to think he made more emotional versions of these classics with this album, but he's done it, ten fold.

When i first heard this, i was 14/15. Growing up in a third world country and giving my everything to be the best person I could be, the bourne version resonated with me. It was "cool". Now I'm 31, not quite old, just weary. Dealing with my own failures, dealing with massive setbacks and tragedies that were beyond my control, i have grown weary and exhausted.
I still care for the things i used to care for when I was 14. But everything feels a little less valuable, little less meaningful. My world fell apart, and I should've known, it always does. Hearing this version of the song reminds me how we all age, decay and grow roots. It still resonates with me, in a rather different manner.

There is awareness, knowing that the poetic author has his own to it's meaning for which he wrote to bare.
And his inner depth into the reasons why he wrote such a work of a masterpiece.
That it only can be that of masterpieces, that can claim the sacred bond from any listener whom attaches their own personally powerful inner emotion relating their own experiences to what the composer wrote that evoked so many.
There cannot be any higher of a compliment than that, for which there is nothing higher that exists.
