Best phyllis Ever, brings class to a Psycho character, shows emotional depth, and human understanding of the way to work the charater to relate to each of the other characters in such a unique way for each situation, it's amazing, that she also can be vulnerable herself as well. She has the ability to draw the audience in and actually feel for her and draw them to her view and she is very attractive which is to her advantage as well, unlike the previous Michelle Stafford who she replaced total skank!

I prefer Michelle Stafford's Phyllis. The character Phyllis was suppose to be a short lived role but Michelle was SO good early on that Bell kept bringing her back. Does anyone remember Phyllis talking to herself? The writers kind of teased us with a psycho Phyllis. She tried to run over Paul and Christine. I'll never forget when she followed Paul & Christine on their honeymoon. Those episodes were classic Phyllis at her crazy funniest moments. Michelle quite and was replaced for awhile by another actress who was good but not as good as Michelle. Thankfully Michelle came back and won a best actress award at that year's daytime Emmy awards. She had won an Emmy for her work previously on Y&R.

I'm 1000000% team villy and have been since they started in 2009-2010 IDC if it's recast or not but I love all three actors and their friendship.

I used to watch Y & R religiously and stopped and watch every now and then. I never really saw Gina Toboni as Phyllis however I could see her playing Ashley Abott. I am looking at looks wise.

Sharing the Restless made their worst mistake firing Gina turned only there is no excuse and no reason Phyllis was so interesting to watch and Michelle Stafford has turned her into a complete snooze

Gina Tognoni is gorgeous! She was amazing as Dinah Marler on "Guiding Light." I actually would've preferred her as Victoria Newman after Heather Tom's departure back in late 2003. They should have casted her as Sharon's "best friend" Grace Turner if not Victoria because she is too young to play Phyllis Romalatti. Grace was a bit similar to Dinah in a lot of ways, but different at the same time. I really like Jason Thompson as Billy Abbott a lot. JT comes across as Jill's boy and looks like the great Jess Walton a lot. I did like Amelia's interpretation of Victoria initially (2005) and here and there through the years, but Heather Tom should have been put back in the role a long time ago.

Great interview! Jason & Gina have palpable chemistry as Philly. I am 100% Team Philly. Villy have zero chemistry & has been dead for eons. YR needs to quit beating the dead horse. Plus what man wants a 45 y/o woman who behaves like a 13 y/o tween with daddy issue? I just want Philly free from the Victoria albatross. Bring back Ben or Travis for her. When all this mess comes out I want Billy/Phyllis to have a knock down drag out fight, get it all on the table & rebuild their relationship w/o the dishonesty
scoma60 , I Totally Agree with you Victoria & Billy are the Past & should stay there why do the writers always have to Bring Billy back to Victoria everyone should move on from Villy they have not got much Chemistry these days they should stay Co-parents , i wan't this Love Triangle to end it is Unfair on Phyllis she cannot compete Against Victoria and i hate the way that Victoria is not Playing fair either she is adding more Problems for Philly .
let Billy & Phyllis Be Happy together without all of this Lying & Dishonest , Let this Relationship work & stop Making it all about Victoria & work , Give Philly a Fair Chance ,I Just don't want to see him back with Victoria if he goes back to Victoria again it means that he will have to Try and Please her & be someone else for her & more issues will occur with Victor All Over Again & that story always ends the Same ,when he is with Phyllis he is Appreciated & he can be Himself with her i wish & Hope Writers can see that & Leave them together not back to Victoria i don't want to see that again , Team Philly

I wanted host who quite obviously uses steroids if Gina was in anyway intimidated stepping into the role of Phyllis that had been previously portrayed brilliantly by Michelle Stafford for l5 years.
