    This is quite a peculiar lock, the sliders remind me of a Miwa U9 levers. Thanks for showcasing it!

    Awesome video! I actually got one of these a couple days ago but didn't realize, until you pointed it out, it's actually a 7 pin lock! Thank you for the video!

    You beat me to it and with a great video and explanation. I have a masterpinned mortise Yale 5000 and when I first gutted it, I had the disaster you mentioned. Nothing holds the sliders in place and they just fall out with springs also -- a real pain to gut and reassemble -- I'd guess why you don't see them often, is probably because the locksmiths hate to mess with them -- pain-in-the-ass

      Hey Ken! That is exactly what I was thinking. Servicing these locks must have been a nightmare and locksmiths likely didn't want to deal with it. It's a shame because with minor tweaks it could have been a fantastic lock.

    I don't understand why these are so impossible to find. I have tried ordering one, but I can't find them anywhere!
