Is she still available? I’ve been wanting to foster to hopefully adopt her and checked the shelter’s website and it said she may not be available. It made me so sad. I hope she still is and that we can bring her home soon.

Oh my! :( I’ve been going there every week and just fell in love with her. I went beginning of the week and was gonna come back for her today. The challenge with us is that my daughter is in the spectrum and we would make sure to get a dog that is more calm even with the barking, as she is sensitive to loud and constant noises. By experience of being there with these dogs, would you guys be able to point some for us that could be a good fit? We would hope to get one that is about 1-2 years old. Thank you so much! I appreciate your reply! I wish I could just go and not have to be so selective and just give a home to any of them
@@MsOliveiraFlavia Hi! I don’t think Ivy would have been a fit as she’s energetic. Marley is a small dog who might be a fit for you! He’s under a year but very calm and quiet. His ID is #A1348502. We also have a few dogs in the foster program that you can schedule a meet and greet with. Mila would be great #A1347731. She’s very sweet and gentle. Bailey #A1348220 and Susie Q #A1336109 are also quiet and calm. If you’re interested in meeting a fostered dog email sjfoster@sanjoseca.gov and put the dog’s name in the subject line.

@@MsOliveiraFlavia Doesn’t hurt to go meet him! He’s a good quiet boy. He’ll need proper exercise as he’s a young dog. He’s only in the shelter for a few more days before he goes back to foster
@@MsOliveiraFlavia great! I recommend walking all the open rooms in the lobby and back courtyard and perusing the site before you come! Best to come meet at least 2 dogs. How old is your daughter?

She is almost 7. I’ve been checking the website daily and have been going to the shelter every week the past 4-5 weeks. I’ll join the group.
