There's a reason why the Boerboel is one of most in demand dogs in the world. Patti La Belle had her Boerboel imported from South Africa. It's a top 10 guard dog in the world. I'm not even too sure that there's actually a breed called Lebente cos I can't find it anywhere. Either way this shows that nobody cares about it
I expected there to be SUPERIOR BREEDS originating in Africa, but they're really just run-of-the-mill varieties, with the exception of the Pharoah Hound, and maybe the Boerboel. Thanks for sharing
You have omitted the Southern African Greyhound like hunting dog, called LEBENTE by the Sotho people. The Zulus have a different name I could not find instantly.
There is this one thats known by many name in east Africa its well known sa bosco never gets sick eats everything even nylons know where the wedding and funeral spots are and they are super friendly you feed them for two days and you own them for 20 years they are indestructible 😅😅😅
Had a basenji, one of the best dogs I’ve ever owned. Dog would hunt out rodent type animals better then a cat. Would always pop out of the forest with something hanging out of her mouth. Miss that dog so much

A hyena is not a dog or part of the dog family. Hyenas are more closely related to cats than dogs, and their closest relatives are mongooses and meerkats.
