Mr CNC , video are very good and very helpful. But I have a internal undercut I am trying to do on the C face. The milling cutter is profiled so I want to go into the bore and interpolate out to a depth to generate a form. When the cutter gets to the right I/d it will just withdraw from the bore. I can not see a feature other than thread undercut that will let me do it in 😮Siemens 840d to get it to retract. Turning it ,I just use a internal grove feature with a X0 and T1 but I can not turn it. So I’ve looked at using the milling spigot feature but I can not find other than the undercut that gets anywhere close. How should it be done ? I need an expert
Hello mr CNC Is there a standard cycle to produce a hex mid way along a shaft inbetween 2 diameters. Only way I can do it is to produce a contour to run on the Y axis front to back and then rotate spindle every 60 degrees to produce my hex. I have a turn/mill machine with hsk63 so not a turret lathe. Siemens 640d
Hello , can you tell me how to deactivate spindle positioning on Sinumerik 808D turning ? I can activate it by using SPOS comand and its working until I move chuck by hand or by use M3 or M4 spindle rotation, there is alarm that spindle position is lost.Is there any comand to deactivate SPOS? Spindle position icon in degrees is on screen under Z and X position.Only way to deactivate SPOS is to send both Z and X to home position, and than when I came back to JOG there is no SPOS icon on screen any more...
You have no idea how helpful these tutorials are for me, thank you so much
thank you for the feedback. Its great to hear.
Thanks you for your great support..its so helpful👍
Welcome
maybe I something misunderstood. 38:38
Why does the C-face milling is down-cut( it set in first step), but the Y-face is up-cut.
There is a way you can change that feel free to reach out

Roger. I would need more details, however you could write this long hand in g code.

I would try issuing an M5 command. If the spindle is still staying enabled it may be something custom that the OEM is doing.
Thanks
No problem

Just cutting with c axis?
