Idk if it’s just hot in Sweden, or you just added the best production element ever to your videos… the wind blown hair. Amazing man, you continue to be a true TH-cam innovatorer. 💪
I realized a lot of what I dislike about 5150s is the power section. It always sounded to me like something's broken. Kyle Bull actually proved it by plugging his 6505 into various different power sections of his different amps, the sound is totally improved! This just shows how good the KSR power amp is!
When i first got a used synergy SYN1 in 2019 a peavey/evh 5150/6505 was always the module i wished was out. the Peavey 6505 module did not disappoint. It sounds really good through KSR PA50 with el34s and one of the Harley Benton 2x12s with the v30s. I mostly just plug my SYN1 into my PC and use two notes wall of sound so my neighbors don't call the cops. I'm surprised more people do NOT have the SYNERGY modular pre-amp. I hope Synergy will someday get an Orange Module made up.
I love your videos and totally loved the 6505 demo! As someone that has gone from my big tube amp setups of the past to the digital age of the Fractal AxeFX (which has led me down a disappointing rabbit hole of menu-diving and computers), I really am digging the compact set up of these Synergy modules and am thinking that this is the way to go. Especially if I can also use my RJM MMGT pedalboard with it and just use my Fractal for top-class effects. I think this may be the answer to my prayers! Thanks for the awesome review and all the fun you bring to your fans! Rock on!!
I have learned so much with your videos. I don't have a tube amp, because I have had many amps, but have never found my sound. By looking at your videos I have a better idea of what head to buy. Thanks for everything.
People say your guitar tones always sound similar and usually I agree but not this time. Sounds better than other amps to me. That's why I own a 5150 II. :)
I owned the Randall RM4 back in the day with Warhead, Rectifier, Brown, and Fender clean modules...Glad you mentioned that. I liked it but it was a little quirky.
Hell yeah, Ola. Sick tones. I'm planning on getting a synergy system in the future as well. Also don't forget about the Marshall Valvestate. It was a lot cheaper than the 5150 or dual rec but still has a cool sound for 90s death metal.
First off it sounds good in this video. I had this module and sent it back after a week of trying to like it. I have never liked the 5150 and variants. I prefer the Savage, Uberschall, and SLO modules I own. Cool video though 👍Ola also forgot that he demoed the Savage, SLO, Friedman etc in another video he did lol 😂
I laughed when the serious face came out after the opening part and getting carried away... also ...I made the same face when you started playing slayer 🤘
The thing I like with Ola's playing is that he's not one of those elitists "downpick everything", he plays various combinations of alternate and downpicking and it still sounds ripping!
Am I the only one to notice his playing has gone to a next level since he came back from Petrucci Camp? Ola, there's definitely something way more expressive with your soloing even if it's just noodling around testing this amp. So rad. Very interesting in going to this camp now, if there's indeed another one next year. As you reveal (after I've gone out on a limb making that assumption that this was after camp) that you recorded this before that camp thing, anyway... even if that were the case I can see how if this was before camp, would make you play slightly differently in anticipation of that up-coming experience?
I really like gear demos. But after years of watching every single one you put out, there is one conclusion that forms: Everything sounds good if you know how to dial it in. Although nice from a sponsors/company perspective, it is not very helpful from a players POV. To really really understand things you need context! How about making comparison videos again or taking one product as a benchmark? The comparison videos you did back in your last office have been great! Keep it up🤘
I would love to see the comparison of that KSR PA 50 and whatever you are using yourself as a power amp (an MB Badlander etc). It shows up every now and then but nobody in EU knows about KSR and why it is so kick ass.
It sounds like a 6505 to me but also a little tighter than I'm used to, maybe your cab. Usually all you need to 2-3 gain on red channel though, and then you control the amount of brutality with the presence. It seems this module makes the red channel gain more controllable. Presence is usually on the power amp so makes sense they rolled more into the EQ also.
Awesome man! You should try the NUX RECTO DISTORTION pedal its a pretty cheap pedal but apparently supposed to sounds like a mesa rectifier would be cool to see in a video🤷♂️
CATHODE SELECT FUNCTION: The Peavey 6505 module features a three-position switch on the PCB, which allows you to configure the input tube bass response to match the original circuit of the selected module. This will affect the feel and tightness. Each amp designer has a specific combination of components that make up their input tube circuit. We have selected the three most popular combinations which you can access with this switch. The USA voiced modules typically use setting 1 (1.5K resistor and 22uf capacitor). British-style modules use position 2 (2.7K resistor and .68uf capacitor). The Peavey 6505, just like the Soldano and Vai modules use position 3 (1.8K resistor and 1uf capacitor). Of course, you can experiment and try any of the positions to see what you prefer.
Didnt Synergy do an Egnater Armageddon module? I think that amp is one of the best sounding heads that no-one seems to know about. I used to stand in front of the guitarists cab when I played in a band and I prefer it over the Diezel he replaced it with
Hopefully Synergy makes Peavey Triple XXX module because those amps sounded amazing.
The fan blowing your hair during that creamy solo and Among the Living just made this video.
😂
His conditioner is incredible 🤘
Nice having fan there 😁
Betting that the solo isn’t the only thing that got creamy

Killer demo as always, ola 😎🤘🏻🎸 I’ve always been a big fan of peavey amps and this amp sounds phenomenal.
I have a Peavey Classic 50/50 valve power amp that I used with a Marshall JMP-1 valve pre and it just sounds incredible.
@@svartmetall that’s pretty cool 😎
Sounds amazing
Sounds the SAME
I bought this based on you mentioning it was the in flames amp, and I had no room so this was the next best thank you for all the information bro!
Gibson + Peavey = clayman tone.
Synergy Peavey 6505 is my favorite module from Synergy - I love the preamp sound!
Ola Englund... your source for gadget reviews, guitars and laughs. And, as always, a great video.
The fan and the hair is total metal god tier.

Awesome. Hope they come out with an Orange Rockerverb module soon. Also I hope they come out with a rack unit with 1 module slot and a power amp.
It sounded insane when you went to drop C Ola🔥🤘
People say your guitar tones always sound similar and usually I agree but not this time. Sounds better than other amps to me. That's why I own a 5150 II. :)
AMAZING HOW MUCH BETTER THAT MODULE SOUNDS THAN MOST 6505 AMPS, LOL!!!
Some of the best things come in rack form.

Loving my T1.D6 lefty Solar guitar I got about a month ago now! Wish I could buy all of the Solars and have a huge warehouse to hang them all! 🌞 🎸 🤘🏼
You know what would be awesome. If synergy made a head that allowed you to play two modules in unison.
In stereo? You can!
I'm to distracted by how dam good the gold hardware looks with that blood red maple top😮😞🤘
I dont usually like gold but damn
The bogner uberschall and the engl savage from synergy sounds absolutely amazing
The opening of the video kicked @$$ .
Daaaaammmm Ola that thing sounds freaking BRUTAL!!!! I’m sold I’m gonna buy one lol

I’m an electrician and have experienced completing an open circuit. 10 out of 10. Would recommend 😂

Killer tone 🤘
I have a Randall MTS. I like to live on the edge.
That Solar is so beautiful
I have this guitar, it's freaking awesome!!!
Hey dude😊, What guitar is that? I'm interested in seeing its specs and price, so I can assess buying it.
Haven't watched ola for a while, definitely got loads to catch up on

But I'm (still!!) far more impressed by that incredible red Solar... 😀👍🙏🙏🙏🙏
Just want to say that if you think about 90 s metal band , the most brutal amp was the Ampeg VH-140 c . 🤘

That’s crazy watching this bc my rig is exactly a 6505+ with a TS9 boost and a electro harmonic silencer 🤣

Need to have the fan on for all videos from now on

how is the EHX Silencer as a gate for tight metal?

i like the fact that you took John petrucci's view with the blowing the hair thing when plays lead and stuff hahaha lol
It sounds sick, for me the green channel on lead mode is a little a little it more scooped compared to the red, but almost identical.
Good old fashioned Anthrax and Slayer riffs.
Please release that guitar again, it's been sold old for about a year! Fishman, floyd rose + perfect finish.
TestamenT is NEVER overlooked
Red Green channels remind me of 70's drums in the mix. Drums face forward, Red. Green is buried in the mix.
Ola i am not able to find the red guitar on the Solar website to order it. Is this model no longer available?
Nice noise. 👍
