I was waiting to see if anybody was going to drop a comment pointing out that it was Bela Lugosi‘s artistic choice to black out his teeth while filming this version of Dracula. That’s the only reason that the grimacing headsculpt has no teeth. It is movie accurate. Great review of a great figure though!
I think maybe what I said was misunderstood. He may have painted his teeth black but he still had teeth. The sculpt is a completely empty mouth. If they had sculpted teeth in and painted them black then that would have been accurate
Being a Bela Lugosi fan, I will definitely display my figure with the grinning headsculpt. Ever since I saw this figure the other headsculpt has always looked a little off to me. There's something about it that is off, on the other hand the grinning headsculpt is spot on. 100 % Bela Lugosi. I definitely love that Grinning headsculpt since day one.
Hi Justin! I hope you are well. I think Kaustic Plastic makes such great classic movie figures. It’s so cool that this figure is in a coffin! This company taking on Dracula is so much fun. I like the grinning head sculpt. Just standing up this figure looks so ominous as the character looks in the films. What a great figure! I also want to see him with another figure but not sure who with. That coffin is insanely good, you’ll never see anything like that again. It’s wonderful! Thanks for the video 😊💎
That is one fangtastic piece Justin. Both head sculpts do it justice use the evil grinning one with Dracula arising from the coffin and the second one with him standing holding the lantern. It's beautifully put together, and one can't go wrong having it in their collection. Again great video and review Justin. Kind regards Rikki
Fantastic review of a fantastic figure! Just a couple comments: 1 - Justin, you can watch the movie without worries. Even though it’s almost a CENTURY old, it still holds up. That’s one of those movies that “aged well”. (I bought the Blu-ray box of the Universal Studios monsters years ago, and the same can be said about pretty much all the ones I saw to date. I still have some to watch) 2 - the thing about the “teethless head”: apparently it’s accurate, because Lugosi decided to use some kind of black prosthetic exactly to give this look, that he thought would be more menacing (I learned about this fact on Dean’s review 😅) 3 - I’m 110% getting this figure! 😁 Cheers!
An awesome review as always! Can't wait for my final payment to go through and to have my deluxe edition Dracula in hand as well. Such a good looking figure and accessories.
It is totally amazing that figure, Dracula is my favorite horror character, I hope that pretty soon will be available also the other versions of Dracula (Christopher Lee, Frank Langella, Gary Oldman [old, young, red armor, wolfman and Vampire), Luke Evans] and other characters like Boris Karloff's Frankenstein and The Mummy, Benicio del Toro's Wolfman, Shape of Water's creature, etc 😍🥸🤓😎
Great company and figure. Ordered the online limited edition (think it's called) with the gravestone base. Not sent out from the company as of yet (assume a delay with that edition). Can't wait for their nosferatu and other horror characters. Just hope they branch out to more modern horror. 80s and 90s for example.
The cape in the movie was never red lined. There was actually a few capes used. An all black long cape and a shorter silver/grey lined cape. Later movies (Abbott & Costello) and live appearances Bela wore a Salmon yellow/goldish lined one. The red lined cape that people think was in the movie, was actually from the poster art and then the decades later colorized version. Best Dracula figure that is out right now in terms of being movie accurate, is NECAs version.
I love the fact in one day you did the review of the Mafex Batman Hush with the horrible cape and in the next video you review this Dracula with a magnificent cape. I feel a certain theme here...
that suit is unreal it looks perfect, it's a shame that line in the hair on both heads and the toothless, but other than that really great, I usually don't love figures with suits cause it looks a bit off, but this one to me is perfection!
This is awesome I love it. I’d like to see them do a version of bram stokers Dracula my favourite version. Some of these poses are just super cool great review Justin.
Forgot to say justine. This Dracula doesn't have teeth. They painted the actors teeth black, so the smiling headsculpt is accurate to the film. Strange I know, as modern day vampires have big old teeth! 🙂
You should review the sh figuarts broly full power, if you got em. Mine is coming any day now, but I'd love to see a review from you. You go more in depth than most other reviewers
Yoooooo dope lol I hav this coming soon love how u displayed the arms open with the cape pretty cool I wish u would hav did my displayed with the coffin that would be hot
Hey Justin! Great review! Do you possibly have the dimensions for the coffin please? I can't find any measurements for it on the web and wonder if it will fit in my cabinet! Thank You! :)
I really hope we get a full line up of the ov universal monsters. Imagine of we got a Frankenstein monster a warwolf man, an invisible man, a mummy and a creater from the black lagoon to go along with this would look awesome
Being Dracula this should have had a face showing his fangs. Also the coffin should have come with a separate head using closed eyes for Dracula. Aside from these two gripes i think the figure is beautiful.
Just outta curiosity (probably isn’t needed) I wonder if they would release a black and white version of this figure? Regardless great figure and even better review.
I regret getting the DX version just for the cofing. The hinges are completely out of scale. Something that WILL be visible like the hinges should have received a little more attention. Also the coffin handles are molded together and have a poor paint app. It is a pitty that they cheaped out with such an important accessory!!!
A Drac with no teeth and a seamline on the head sculpts? Like you said in the comments, they could've at least made it movie accurate and given him teeth that they then blackened out. Either way, thanks for the review!
Great figure. They need to roll out the rest of the Universal Monsters line of Wolfman, Invisible Man and Frankenstein. My "grail" figure however would be the version of Dracula from Bram Stoker's Dracula from 1992. Specifically, the blood armor/ devil's armor version.
Fun fact: Bela Lugosi never showed his fangs in the movie. That head with the toothless mouth is accurate.
True but he did actually have teeth, like human people teeth. The mount here is completely empty
@@JustinsCollection If you watch the movie, there is scene where he smiles without showing his teeth. Looks just like the head you have. Check it out!
I believe he painted his teeth black to achieve the look in the movie.
@@mediaversenetwork ...Karloff?....SIDEKICK?!
Yeah, still though.

Semantics I guess, Considering he painted them black to give the illusion of an empty mouth. We have an empty mouth instead of blackened teeth.🤷🏻♂️

Same to you Rrr Mmmm! The figure is so much fun indeed! Very different as well!
Kaustik Plastik, more Universal Monsters please. Amazing!
Yes!
I’d love a Boris Karloff Frankenstein !
Nice!
Yeah, I don't know. Bela Lugosi was 6'1". John Wayne was 6'4". One of these figures is either too tall or too short.
Ok!
This is a must have for me…can’t wait for it to release in the US🍻
Awesome!

Geez how elegant, great cape, head sculpt choices, not bad for this company
Not bad at all!

Haha true!
Great review. I have a horror collection and a Christopher Lee as Dracula, so may add this one to the collection!
Noice!
Great figure, but what sucks is that Bela Lugosi's dead. Oh Bela, Bela's undead.
Undead, undead, undead.
RIP
❤️❤️❤️
Thanks!
Really awesome. Though, adding a small bat would really complete it.
True!
@@JustinsCollection You planning on reveiwing the other classic monsters?

Agree. We need Gary Oldman's Dracula and Christopher Lee's as well.

Have you had any black bleeding from the cape on the white shirt?
Luckily not

bela used to paint his teeth black so is screen accurate no fangs 👍

Not only did he not show them. He had no fangs at all.
He did have human being teeth though, his mouth wasn't empty lol

no gold medallion with a red ribbon? I always picture Dracula with that from old photographs. Cool looking figure.
No unfortunately
they ended up selling the medallion as an accesory later on (10$)
Oh, wow ... l was just thinking about Bela Lugosi just last night. This algorithm thing is getting weird.
Nice!
There are far worse things awaiting man than death. Got mine coming too👍
Noice!
Hey Justin there is a new action figure from Red Dead Redemption 2 it's an action figure of Sadie adler! You should pick it up and do a review on it
Cool!
Hello 👋
Yo!
Pretty cool
Too bad they can't make a Bette Davis or Meryl Streep
Oh ok
Pls open kazuya
Who is that?
If you're gonna have a head sculpt with an evil grin/sinister 😈 looking smile, your gonna clearly need to put some frigging teeth in already.
Fair enough!
