Actually, it has lyrics. I'm not a Spaniard myself, but I'm from Hispanic descent, so I can understand the lyrics. Never understood why the lyrics were banned in the official Anthem. Didn't found any offensive words or something that could be censored. I understand however, that it had to do to the civil war during the 1930's, but that was so long ago that perhaps it shouldn't have any relevance these days...
@@globalcitizen8321 No, it does not have them. The last lyrics it had were from fascist origin, and since they were removed following the advent of democracy, no new ones have been set, so the anthem remains with just the melody.
@@cekan14 Not true, Spain anthem didnt have lyrics under Franco either. There were unofficial lyrics which u can find on youtube, but they were never made official and they were definitely not written by the francoist regime. For the most part, Spain simply has never had any lyrics in its anthem.
