at 75th minute the english dare to sing "swing low"... 3 minutes later they hear "the marseillaise" perfect karma :) and a bloody great game from both teams
Robert Howes the ending with france scoring, even i was on the edge of my seat. if only we could have seen the england coach sing the french nation anthem lol
Richard Rugbyfan thank you so much. I love rugby and love the Six Nations tourney. Its tough to find rugby in the US. Great match hopefully England can bounce back for the next one.
What annoys me in this game is to see the scrum. IRB changed the rules after the 2010 tournament, because the French were largely dominant. It's a shame to irb, this rule was to counter our "small" pillars. Anyway, with two thirds of the Anglo-Saxon countries in the World Cup, we know very well that the French was, is and always will be penalized. But hey, it's rugby, victories becoming more beautiful. Long life to this noble sport.......
Both teams hung on till the last minute! Good intensified game of rugby! It was worth watching the whole match! Nigel Owens would be my pick out of all the people who were engaged during 80 minutes! The manner he controlled heated situations was fascinating to watch. Even saw him helping a player to stand up! An asset to the game!
Richard, thank you for posting the video, I really enjoy watching this. France played a great game, after watching this video I use some of the technique for our rugby practice in Birmingham, Alabama
Richard -- truly good you recorded the entire game man, can't see these from America, but get to relive the experience through this! Can't wait for the Ireland/England game next weekend! And your uploads!!!! Subscriber now. THX M8!
Do not know how we lost this. Deserved to win and had it not been for a ridculous bounce for that second try we would've won and farrell missed 5 points
in 2013 England won by scoring a try which shouldn't have counted as the player pick up the ball in an off side position, and rugby is so unpredictable because of the shape of the ball lots of games are decided by that particular ball.
I'm a high school senior who played football and 4 years of high school. I just joined my areas rugby team and I am already in love with it I am even playing rugby in college next year. Rugby>Footballl
A great match thanks to those 2 nice teams. Either one could have win this game. As JP Rive said: "we never beat England, sometimes they loose." Today they have lost but with "panache". A rugby fan from France
superbe match. VIVE la france VIVE l'angleterre et longue vie a nos 2 vieilles nation qui se sont trop de fois foutu sur la gueule pendent des siècles. des matchs de rugby pour régler les conflits auraient etait cool, lol
I'm American, this is awesome. In a way rugby is like American football minus the forward throwing and adding way more lateral passes. Look up this play by cal, it's Litteraly called "the play" in it they do a bunch of lateral passes on a kick return and win the game at the last second. So unexpected that the opposing teams marching band came on the field celebrating what they thought was a win. My point is I bet cal watched a WHOLE LOT of rugby in order to pull of the play.
Personally I thought Mike Brown's try was a knock-on as he was losing the ball forward as he touched down. He had lost control of the ball and then the ground intervened. Nigel Owens gave the try straight away but the replay showed what actually happened. These borderline decisions happen of course in every game. That's what makes for the after game debates in the pub. :))
Hi, trying to screen record/ get this game (France VS England 2015 warm up Twickenham) with the walkouts as my brother was one of the mascots running out! Would you have that footage at all please? Many thanks :)
To the people saying rugby is tougher, I actually talked to a player who played for 30 years so far and he even admitted to me that football actually is more aggressive. I play football myself but I may check out rugby later
After the last match vs Wales very poor for the French we could say that yes but BUT it is also the French in rugby to be bad in one match and the best after, "capable du pire, comme du meilleur" ^^
One of the better games from both these teams in a while. Go France awesome game, they got 4 lessons from the all blacks last year, most teams get better from that, look at Ireland as well. ABs and SA still have nothing to worry about from these teams.
I am English and I don't buy ever the line "we deserved to win." Either you get enough points to win or you don't. The French got a couple of cheap tries at the start and rode their luck. England's subs were awful and we lost. Congrats France.
***** I hope you realise but the more the "arrogance" card is played against us English, the more it backfires and just makes you look a little TOO narrow-minded to make any other considerations other than it being all down to "pure English arrogance". It's about time you got real, any neutral would say those first two tries were fluke. Not taking anything away from France, they still won the game fair and square.
***** With the bad organisation comment I'm thinking about what happened at Huget's breakaway from 48.16 - 48.25 - Goode not making a tackle on Huget but instead running back and getting in the way of Nowell? I think that was sloppy
You don't deserve something unless you get it, true. I think you could argue that England were unlucky to lose though: two bounces of the ball and two tries for the french. Having said that, they did well to capitalize on their chances
1:33:12 looks like a try to me; his left elbow is on and over the line and his right arm that's carry the ball is only slight further back. The funny thing is if this had been awarded England probably would have been Grand Slam winners. Cheers to the unofficial best and most unlucky team in the NH the last 2 years! It's tough being an England fan sometimes but I wouldn't have it any other way.
Pat Lech, fairly certain in the IRB rankings, ENGLAND ARE 4TH, and the people in front are Australia, South Africa and New Zealand, France definitely aren't in the top 4
these guys got higher pain tolerance than football players no pads they still play on cuncussions and even from the hardest tackles they get back up in 8 seconds most the time
why are yoiu speaking about international ? almost all the referees are English speaking! ..... is that what you call "international"? rugby is cheated by anglo-saxons, that's a reality.
I hate to be hypocritical, but what the hell kind of fans are the French? Always consistently booing during the game, especially when the away team's kicker is kicking for goal, whenever France make a mistake and when possession is being kicked away! This happens week in week out in the Top 14 and the Heineken Cup, especially against Celtic and English opposition! Clearly the word "respect" went in one ear and out the other! And the fact they try to expect so much of France is crazy, because that just pressurizes France to do as hard as they can!
out of topic. french crowds are noisy since many years, so nothing new... but please, keep your lessons of respect for u. the famous british fairplay is also a myth ;)
zisssssou Low lie the Fields of Athenry, where once we watched the small free birds fly. Our love was on the wing, we had dreams and songs to sing. It's so lonely round the Fields of Athenry!!!!! :)
Hugo Brehier on what do you base this enlightened comment my friend? I live in Bretagne and have French and English friends with their strengths and weaknesses. Sad that youfeel that way. But we tolerate free speech. Imagine if you spoke that way about Libyans, Iranians, other Arab nations
The French booed the Americans for an entire match in 1924, when the US won the Olympic gold metal. Of course, in the same stadium which is today used by Racing Métro 92. Which reminds me, I wonder if Benoît Paillaugue will ever move to Paris again? Stange question, oh well....
This was a truly mental game. The first half I have not seen a game so all over the shot as this, but it was fantastic to watch. England did well to come back into it considering the lack of experience in the backs. England dangerous side, even with the lacking experience in that backline they had against France. We all know that England can field a better side as well. This bows well for the RWC2015. France not looking to bad as well, similar in many ways. I hope England win this 6N and not those taffy boys that whenever they play the All-Blacks they always claim the All-Blacks cheated. Na, just NZ is just better lets get that one straight right away. Go get em England :P.
All-blacks cheated, when they don't do that, we beat them during a world cup....:-) In NZ, it was supposed to be " black wash" it has been a "black cheat" thank to Mc Caw and Craig Joubert. lol
Jeff WM What you mean losing 1 game since the last world cup?. No that is just plain the dogs bollocks mate, lol. As for France, well hit and miss with them, we know this. One minute they can be the best, then the next they are abysmal. Consistency is Frances only problem from being the best or certainly the only team other than SA to match the All-Blacks, I mean truly match us. I like the French side, I am well aware of what they are capable of. Just make sure you beat the bleedin Welsh please, do not let those Taffs win another 6N, cause they are cocky bastards, lol.
Jeff WM PS, the last time France beat NZ by the way, I think I may have been in nappies mate?. Not sure, but I know it was a friggin long time ago, cheat or not, the record of NZ is unrivaled by any team currently. Sure it will not last forever and I think the biggest threats will come from South Africa and England. France, well if you can just get consistency and I do not mean 1 6N win, I mean a series of wins and no losses to anyone and I mean anyone for the next 18 months, then you will have proved to me, that you may be able to win in 2015 :P. Take care man :).
***** I totally agree with you mate, with the French rugby team nobody knows before if they will be lions or sheeps, during the game. But I truly think that AB, England and Springboks are much more better than French on a constant basis. Sometimes but never for a long time (usually one game), we could be the best team in the world.
***** When I wrote about cheating I was just meaning the Final. I agree that we arrived by the smallest hole we could get. We were bad, no plays, nothing to show. I don't like to say something about referees, they are like wind or rain, part of the game, but M Joubert didn't show his best skills during this game. In his mind as the world's mind, the world cup has to be won by AB, and this no matter what was happening in front of his eyes.... Take Care man, from south of France.
First came Soccer, then rugby, then american football- you can run the ball forward and you can kick the ball forward, You are not allowed to throw the ball forward= The man will the ball is to be in front of his teammates- it is 15 players playing as one, the field is longer and wider- the match is 80 minutes Long, the players play offense and defense
Good match from the Poms and the Frogs both Likely you guys will smash the Wobblies when we clash in the coming weeks Maybe teach us a lesson or two while you're at it, we've been playing like shit lately
Any victory against the Poms is a good victory in my books Shame you couldnt beat the Wobblies though, have a good crack at them in the Aussie Spring tour ey?
***** Not illegal, but England does get away with all sorts of illegal things, all the time! And France has a long history of being on the wrong side of bad officiating. Mostly with officials from the UK, of course.
We are now in Malaisia, and you tube is the only way for us to see the 6 natins, so many many thanks !!!!!
at 75th minute the english dare to sing "swing low"... 3 minutes later they hear "the marseillaise" perfect karma :)
and a bloody great game from both teams
Richard Rugbyfan, you are my new favorite person in the whole wide world! Thank you thank you!!!!
You're welcome Catherine.
I have to say that is one of the most exciting Rugby matches i have seen, both sides were excellent, the finish was excillrting.
Robert Howes the ending with france scoring, even i was on the edge of my seat. if only we could have seen the england coach sing the french nation anthem lol
Im French and I love our English neighbors English, thank you for this respectful sport !
Richard Rugbyfan thank you so much. I love rugby and love the Six Nations tourney. Its tough to find rugby in the US. Great match hopefully England can bounce back for the next one.

being an american, i have no idea what is going on in this but its fun to watch!
I love the respect that the teams have for each other. It's not seen as much in other sports, and is really refreshing.
Richard, thank you for posting the video, I really enjoy watching this. France played a great game, after watching this video I use some of the technique for our rugby practice in Birmingham, Alabama
bbc coverage by far the best
Bah! Wanted to see England win, but damn if it wasn't a good match nonetheless.
top comment
Thanks so much for sharing - much appreciated!!
Thanks so much, Richard. You are the best!
wow what a game of rugby- great game for both sides. France is look better. THank you for posting.

Great game! Thanks Richard.

NOOOOOOO! Just finished the spanish commentary! AHHH :) Thanks anyways mate! Keep it up!

I fucking hate the term "deserved to win"- What a load, you lost mate, it happens
There will be victories later
Guy shouldve been sin binned for that second try and the kicker who chipped it knew excatly wjat he was doing he wanted it to come back
No comments? This is great stuff!
what an absolutely delicious try by fickou to seal the win after two magnificent tries by huget, splendid win for france,
Thanks for making this exciting matchup available to a rugby starved fan.
thank for posted..from autun france

A great match thanks to those 2 nice teams. Either one could have win this game.
As JP Rive said: "we never beat England, sometimes they loose."
Today they have lost but with "panache".
A rugby fan from France
Thank you for posting!
I tipped England but what Aussie doesn't like seeing England lose ;)
Yeah Anthony, can imagine that there's not too many love lost in Oz when England lose, thanks for your comment.
France tours OZ this june
Yes am planning on going to the Test in Sydney on June 21 And Richard, it's more a case of sh!t-stirring ;)
Anthony McCloskey remember when england beat you aussies in november?? that was great right?? ahaha

Thanks to Richard Rugbyfan for posting this, it's very hard to find these games on tv over here in the states.
I really don't understand rugby but it's fun to watch

Hum, very interesting to see the match from the other side ^^
wow great game.
To the people saying rugby is tougher, I actually talked to a player who played for 30 years so far and he even admitted to me that football actually is more aggressive. I play football myself but I may check out rugby later
What is the song playing at the end? Have been searching for ages.
How did you get this? Any idea on how i can get the Ireland vs Scotland game online?
thanks
We have find again in the end the famous French Flair game for the last French try :-)
The french flair is dead!
After the last match vs Wales very poor for the French we could say that yes but BUT it is also the French in rugby to be bad in one match and the best after, "capable du pire, comme du meilleur" ^^

I wanna see at least one of these football guys watch a whole game of good rugby
When will England vs Scotland be uploaded? Much appreciated :)
Can you put the england v scotland game up?
Does anyone know the song right at the end of the video?
Anyone know the name of the song being played at the end?
could someone pleas tell me the song playing at the end credits
is this league or union? how does this differ from american football (NFL)?
Looks fun
No match France/Galles we are so sorry ! even if France loose, we would like to see it...
Richard could u put ireland vs france full pls! Cheers
Football is rougher especially in the south
no its not, I played both for years. By the end of a rugby game you look like a ufc fighter.
You take more impact on football but you get way more injuries in rugby
This sport is amazing! Destroys American football! My only regret is that I hadn't found it sooner!

Around 2:00:30 when the whole scuffle goes down.
Those commentators responded to the refs' comments the exact same way I did.
His laugh is priceless.
these guys got higher pain tolerance than football players no pads they still play on cuncussions and even from the hardest tackles they get back up in 8 seconds most the time
nice game by France!!!!!!!!
I think Nigel Owens is probably the best rugby international referee at present.
why are yoiu speaking about international ? almost all the referees are English speaking! ..... is that what you call "international"?
rugby is cheated by anglo-saxons, that's a reality.
There is no comparison between Care and Doussain.

anyone else hear the English player yelling "go fucking get him" at 2:15:40 haha
Anyone know what the song at the very end is?
Any update on the name of that song mate? It's class!
Still don't know mate. Cant seem to find it anywhere

ouai !!! vive la france !!!
dicifail

also, there is no way most american football players could run this hard and Long

I have to say I played American football for many years as center. But in the scrum looks a tad worse
it was just a fortune for france to winn
England got away with murder, time and time again in this match. But France won anyway, great job guys.
Vive la France!
and a great job stopping england getting the grand slam
1:11:20 England stomping on that guys arm? wtf
1:43:40 Was that Vunipola being booed for that tackle? What the fuck.
1:11:24 Is that actually allowed??? He's just standing there kicking his arm!

unfortunately not
Fuckin lucky bounce on the second try! England should have won that match!
I think I am the only American here. -_-
So So sorry I meant prop.
Some brainless decisions at the end cost us dear - stop kicking too much and learn to scrummage again.
