BTW, it looks like that other bug is still partially there... the "leaving behind" behaviour of tempo information when you move a track... especially repeatedly?
One thing did occur to me, that towards the end where you are flexing different audio tracks against each other, at least in this case, would it have been better to leave the intro sections in, set the flex on, and then edit the in points. does sound as if it is finding it a bit difficult to flex the two fairly different tempi together right at the starts of both audio regions.
I've been recording bass (whilst listening to an outside source) w/Adapt on, it works inc moving other audio underneath the bass part. However, when I've copied that bass part the tempo track changes yet the bass/drums still play as before I'd copied it. What took the space of 4 bars now shows as 1 bar, strange yet, as said it still sounds the same? Glitch I guess. My main take from this 10:4 update is that Logic responds to me now, in a sort of AI way. So what will further advances achieve...!! PS, with drummer responding to my playing the 'soul' factor has increased 100%
First time commenter, long time watcher...Excellent work man. Quick question...How would you go about tightening up a project that has already been tracked to a click, but the playing was very loose? I'd like to adapt the project tempo to the drums to really tighten up the project, but I have a full kit recorded and just don't know the best way to approach it. Thanks
well if they recorded to a click they are never going to be much out on the first beat of each bar, so the smart-tempo thing isn't much use. Flex on the other hand can 'tighten' those downbeats if you set the Flex & Follow for that region to 'On + Align Bars', and you can further tighten up quarter beat transients if you choose Flex & Follow for that region to 'On + Align Bars and Beats' - the 16ths or 8ths between 1/4 beats wont quantise using Flex unless you use the actual Quantise setting and quantise the audio region to 16ths or whatever

It is important to know that you do have to put flex on yourself. There are scenarios where a beta period is needed to collect broad info from outside but there is none in this free upgrade although there are totally new functions being introduced. Message them politely. "Dear apple-team I experience problems in this great update you've generously given us. When I move regions according to your very smart ideas, the cute flex function needs to be turned on by the user. Still stunned by how awesome your work is, I have a tiny suggestion for you to excel even further if you don't mind? I think you could make us happier -although we are appreciative for all these new free functionality, by putting the flex on "by magic". Like Disney. Then we could show our friends how we play with reality and the passing of time much like Einstein's gravitational waves do. Well, so can we now since you are gradually developing these tools for free. Many many thanks to you and your handsome code experts at Apple, the leading provider of novelty to support the arts and human creativity. We love you Tim & team ❤️

Why are the bar numbers in the SMART TEMPO window different than the bar numbers in the ARRANGE? So confused...

well if it was played to a click i'd use the same fixed tempo and flex to tighten stuff rather than smart tempo cos that'll keep the looseness.
