    Thank you for sharing this information on how the laser and programming works. When are three lasers better than one stronger laser as I evaluate a project?

    • @PangolinSystems
      @PangolinSystems  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That depends on the situation. Often more lasers are used when the scan angle is to big for the laser to cover, the one laser is not power-full enough to cover a complete building or there is need for distributed scanning if there are to many points to project.

    Coolest house on the block. I'm curious about combining lasers with Projections for more diverse effects. Lasers being so bright as they are do they overpower a projection?

    • @PangolinSystems
      @PangolinSystems  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thats not a real problem, You can define the brightness of a laser so you can configure it that its now overpowering a beamer.

      You could do this with only 1 laser. If the lasers are daisy chained, I do not see the possibility how to do this. So i would use only 1 laser, or you will need additional FB3.

    edit im new to DMX projection mapping and lighting, is this compatible with soundstage also?

      When I go to create new frames, there is no advanced option. Only “simple”. In the simple frame creator you do not have the option to activate the cursor so it shows the cursor/laser position. Am I correct? Seems like this would be key. Love the videos…thanks!

    Mapping function only works for ILDA? or can work on DMX lase?

    • @PangolinSystems
      @PangolinSystems  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You will need QuickShow or BEYOND to map out the building. Then you can upload it through the software to the laser. After that, you will be able to execute the cues by DMX. This all in the assumption the laser has a FB4 onboard.

    • @jhrlasers
      @jhrlasers 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      ^^^

    • @jhrlasers
      @jhrlasers 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      And YES!!!, cuz, DMX alone r' only works to control for a built in features in a fixtures, but not for a custom design stuff, while Mappings would required a customization, soooo... ILDA cables (with FB3) or yes, an FB4 itself... through a Networking cables (ArtNet, CAT 5 or 6) works for a customization signals that sent towards the lasers on points, so it could be adjusted. A built in FB4 (like has been mentioned before^) capable to store the data (the showfiles), and first things first, all you need to do is designed all the maps inside the software first (especially in BEYOND) then export it to the FB4 and store it in it.
      Then it could be run through your DMX consoles.
      But it's just not that effective (imo), cuz why would you need a DMX for mappings ?.. Bc usually exporting to FB4 are only use as a permanent installations.
