The threads for this mechanism seem to have changed during manufacturing. I have an H140 with both left and right hand threads such that they either separated or drew their respective p[arts together. However, the left-hand thread located towards the handle was never used. Instead, my unit was manufactured with a double-start, right-hand thread on the machine side of cross slide crank. This double-start thread is 2 parallel threads, each with twice the spacing. Although it looks like a normal thread, the travel distance is doubled per turn, so they were able to obtain the same amount of travel that both the left and right hand threads accomplished.
