Wow... You commented 16 hours ago at the time of me reading it. 9 16 is my most synchronistic number, and has been for years now, but had more of an epiphany last night, as to a greater meaning behind it for me. We're all immortal spiritual beings, having a human experience here at this time.
@@ronondex3190 Well, if you wanna get deeper into it, it depends how you want to define reality in that matter. Subjective reality essentially depends on each person, as in, how they interpret an event. Each person seeing the same event, if at least from the same perspective - seeing a divorce happening, will likely have different interpretations of said divorce, depending on how they view the event through their own filters - but the event is still the same reality.
However, if we are speaking about objective, or even further, physical reality, the make up of matter as we know it, then that's a whole other ball game. As Einstein put it, and I completely agree with him because I understand why he said it, reality is an illusion, albeit a persistent one.
Even then, this physical reality, being the illusion that it is, makes up a mere fraction of what is. The way I define reality, as being synonymous with universe, Consciousness, God, Energy, whatever you want to call it, simply stated as everything known and unknown. I can't write off multiple realities just yet without further evidence to the contrary.
Your quote by the way, is by Neil deGrasse Tyson - seems like a great guy to hang out and have chit chats with too! I've seen bits of his talks, but if I am not mistaken, I think he is of the school of thought of materialist reductionism. Due to too many uncanny experiences I've had, and research I've come across, I haven't seen this world that way for years now. "Reality", is far stranger than I could have ever imagined in my current level of conscious awareness!
Also, one could consider holographic universe theory, which extends to the notion that each of us are basically hallucinating reality around us. Givent he nature of physical reality, this isn't too far fetched. So if each of us is hallucinating reality, we are all just conscious beings, experiencing to each, our own reality, where as when we interact with each other, our realities interact - similar to a video game. You only see what the graphics engine is rendering for you to see, all the rest is just data, ready to coalesce as it is required instantaneously... This also goes along with Tom Campbell, and Michael Talbot - both interesting reads.

@@collinmarlow338 Ya you never know who you can talk to sometimes - conversations can help bring more insight to things one may have not considered before. I'm always up for "expansion". I really struggle with so called small talk.. unless there is something about it where I can throw in a tweaking hook somewhere about consciousness, spirituality/religion, aliens or something, and get a feel for their reaction. When talking about doing something or trying something, I sometimes hear that old saying "you only live once, right?!" I tend to smile and say something simple like "nope!", or "I don't think so!" Folks never really expect to hear that.
