Cool video. Was thinking about the Daiwa limit breaker but twice the price and no android app as of now. This reel is in my cart and used your code but wondering how much battery it used while you were making the video? Not much to compare it to but I paid 300 for my scorpion DC a couple years ago so the price doesn't bother me. How do you think it compares to the DC? I have several models and like them all. Scorpion with IDC-5 being my favorite.

I'm still using the Reel from the original charge almost 2 months later. I don't fish every day but at least once a week and it's still running just fine! In my honest opinion, a DC reel and the Reel are like comparing a Tesla to a Toyota. You're getting what you pay for but they focus on different things. The DC chip is its own category, and if you like DCs then that's that. Still, for a great all-around reel with some cool new technology, the IReel is in a league of its own right now with Daiwa being the closest comparison.

@@RyanRiggedI was thinking you had the IFC version with electronic brake control. Sorry I see now it was the AMB version. Well your code works for either one so I ordered both. AMB shows up today and IFC model shows up Monday. I was thinking you had the newer one.
It will be interesting to see the difference casting the same bait from both braking styles.

if the battery runs out while your fishing, will the digital brake stop working? or is battery just for the other digital features and its brake is similar to Shimano dc - the brake generates its own power

The braking system is a centrifugal system, like Shimano, but there is no DC chip in the reel. The DC part of the Shimano reel is a casting adjustment. So it is made to reduce backlashes.
While the Kastking electronics give you reel time data like distance, speed, and depth. They do not affect the braking system nor does it affect the reel if your battery is drained. Hope this helps!
