I still have Panasonic plasma from 2009. The image still looks great. If it dies today, (any) OLED is the way to go. Hopefully, Micro LED will come soon.
I still have my 2009 Panasonic Plasma too, going strong. But I am starting to want some more modern features. Can't decide if QD OLED is the way to go or to keep waiting for micro LED.
We live in an odd time. You can buy a 65 inch lcd for 300 dollars. They are low end trash though. Tvs have been more expensive historicly. A 50 inch tv 20 years ago cost like 5 grand and they looked awful.
Just to be clear, LG's current standard and MLA OLEDs are plenty bright enough to compete with room light and look great and have more picture technologies like Dolby Vision and better prevention of burn in than QD-OLED. So. QD-OLED isn't the only way to go.
I hope you know that QD OLED could use MLA by 2025. QDOLED is better and Sony has Dolby Vision which is so overrated and most people don't even care for except for the niche crowd
Even if qd is better its far more expensive. Im happy to sit on my lg c9 and lg cx tvs for a few more years, since their still incredible tvs. Maybe if i could get a qd oled wirh 2000 nit brightness at 55 inches for under 1200 id switch. But switching for anything less isnt worth it imo.@ajajala5081
@@KP-48-007When it comes to modern QD-OLED vs WOLED we don’t actually have much testing information to really prove what has less burn in chance. Op also incorrectly claimed lack of Dolby Vision on QD-OLED panels, Sony’s QD-OLED TV’s do support Dolby Vision. Though LG is the only manufacturer who covers burn in for 5 years under warranty (for the newer G series), IIRC labor isn’t included in warranty.
3:46 I don’t think gen 2 and 3 TVs have fixed it Please check as Samsung wouldn’t introduce a matte finish to try and alleviate it unless if it’s not fixed and that’s on a gen 3 panel so it’s safe to say gen 2 didn’t get fixed And even then there’s report that the matte finish didn’t fix it just scattered the effect
I just picked up a gen 3 qd oled from Phillips it's still using the same Samsung panel as all others of course but there's zero magenta on my model, I was actually confused because I was expecting it.
I truly believe that as soon as the quality of Micro Leds Displays pixels elements are truly improved it definitely will kill the QD-Oled or the WRGB Oled Organic Material Products degradation Televisions Technology 📺 for real ❤️!
No body mentions what happens to the backlit TV when the backlight lenses start to show up as circles on the screen, because the glue holding them in place is breaking down. I have two full array back lit tvs that have circles on the screen. I bought a OLED so no more circles.
I wish it was easier to find specific content videos, that go right to the point when you search for specific stuff. If you search “micro led” on TH-cam? You probably kind of know what you are looking for and don’t want a full explanation of what y LED and Oled and weld and QD oled is. Chances are you know it. I don’t know, if i search: Bugatti Chiron super sport, I don’t want a video that starts explaining how Henry ford started the production chain and cars became popular with the model T. I want to see the Chiron
I'm an owner of the top OLED tv and some cheap miniLED tv. The top one is 3 times more expensive but it just gives slightly better experience. So top solutions are just not worth it
Nope, everyone should hold off and get Micro LED. Lower OLED and lower Mini LED sales will lead to pressure in rolling out affordable Micro LED a lot quicker.
You are truly talking about the Samsung QD-Oled or WRGB Oled Display Screens Technology which degrades over time for sure. This is truly why to get the best Televisions Technology of both QD-Oled or WRGB Oled Display Screens you should be patient enough to wait for the Micro Leds Sapphire stronger material handling the Leds pixels elements of the Micro Leds Displays Technology Screens which last very much longer than the QD-Oled or the WRGB Oled Organic Material Products degradation Televisions 📺 Displays. I am honestly going to wait for the Micro Led Televisions Displays Technology which degrades less than any other Televisions Displays Technology for sure! Sheesh. Some of these TVs are more expensive than a PC.
by PC you mean Personal Car?

They're just milking the transition to Micro LED, gotta keep selling those Mini LED and OLEDs.
Micro-led is absurdly difficult to manufacture. It'll always be cheaper to buy oleds and replace them vs micro led

So you are saying LG OLEDs are better than Samsung QD oled in terms of burn in prevention?

I have a Hisense u8hand I love the pitcher quality . Great bang for the buck.

The government should heavily subsidise Micro LED TVs so we all enjoy amazing picture quality for an affordable price
Do all QD-OLED monitors support DCI-P3?
Doesn't matter how much improvement they make in oled cause they are organic and burn-in is inevitable
Yeah… except the magenta tinting is far from gone on the qd-oleds. The LG woleds are brighter and has far better blacks.
same with burn in, still a problem..

Samsung's micro led draw about 1kw and would say that's a big downside if you live in Europe
HDR is cool but I dont understand the extreme fascination with blinding levels of brightness

What year did you buy them? I have a Sony 900E from 2018 and there's no circles.
But i don’t get it there are cheaper miniled than oled on amazon for example
OLEDS are beautiful but their sizes are tiny for $$. MiniLEDs from Hisense & TCL are incredible for 85-115”
For 65-77 range the price is pretty similar at bigger sizes though yea
These tv are still so expensive for regular people. Very good video.❤
Is that an A95K? Would love a follow up video if possible
QD-OLED blacks are not as blacks as either WOLED or MicroLED. It often has some low purple tint. Seen in brighter environments
He addresses this in the video, newer models have fixed this issue.
my monitor is not purple
I have S90D qd-oled, this is not an issue.
@@B_Ahmed1234 I don't see it either, on the same set. I think that the 77' QD OLED panel is the sweet spot currently, all things considered.
Nice video Jon!

I didn't know before that it was this expensive
So for that price you could buy a house, divide it into high standard flats and rent them out, than mortgage one of the flats to pay for the TV 😅
0% side by side comparison 100% talk talk talk.
What about plasma? 😉

Anything smaller than "100in OLED is a waste of money if you're not getting life size immersion. So, QD OLED still isn't there yet either
100 inch oled must cost over 10,000.

I would like a 22 inch oled tv for my kitchen, but they don't make them that small.
