WOWZER!! That woman on the hill was a bit of a concern, looked like Ruby wanted to keep moving but she wasn’t growling or alerting towards the woman. Do you go by her reaction to people as to whether they might be a treat? When you stopped at the light pole were you looking ahead to see if there were any breaks in the vegetation between the hill and trail? Did the woman disappear or stop shouting when the police showed up? It’s really cool that you go exploring in urban areas, too, but seems there’s a greater likelihood of meeting people like that woman and with covid around, do you usually avoid urban trails? Hope you don’t mind the questions. Both my dog and I enjoy watching your adventures, my brother, too. When he gets home from work and a “Walk With Ruby” is playing, he says, “don’t change it, I like watching Ruby”.

Hi Frances, we don't mind the questions at all, we appreciate them! As for the woman on the hill above the trail, she was nothing to be concerned about. She seemed a little nuts but not aggressive or threatening at all, she actually seemed happy( and a little crazy)lol. We have walked that trail at least 100+ times and there are a lot of homeless in that area and living in the bushes next to the trail, they mostly want to be left alone, maybe ask for some spare change on occasion. A few times we have left food for them near the garbage cans where we have seen them digging around. Ruby didn't even notice or care about her as it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. I was walking slow to get more footage and to try to understand what she was saying, at first I thought she needed help but quickly realized she was just a little nutty. I was hoping she would keep walking the same direction because there is a spot ahead where she could have come down but as we were walking the bushes blocked the view and she disappeared. I don't know where she went or who called the cops as she wasn't really bothering anybody and there weren't many people around. We do explore and walk many urban areas as we have lived all over in and around the Seattle/Tacoma area. We will show more of our city walks eventually but I feel it makes for a better video if Ruby can walk off leash so we kind of avoid places with a lot of people when recording, plus people stare and wonder why there is a camera. However, there was one video where at a distance I could tell a woman was acting crazy and wasn't sure if she was going to be a problem but as we approached we realized she was in her own insane world and probably didn't even notice us. Check her out here th-cam.com/video/-9DASxhm6Xc/w-d-xo.html as you can see Ruby don't care. Lol.
Thanks for watching we really appreciate it!
