I've 100% completed everything in this game minus 100 coins on the Midas River, including 100 super jumps, but I have never finished that goddamn 3D maze and I likely never will
Really good area. Puzzle took me a bit to think of the word they wanted but it hit after a couple of minutes. I also just love the way the ship itself is designed and Johnny is one of the best designs in this game.
beacuse on the SNES, you couldn't just throw an mp3 or whatever on the sound chip. you had to have the sound chip play notes in real time from a given amount of samples that the composer provided. there were only 8 samples you could play at a time, so 2 were usually kept free for sound effects. essentially, a far cry different than games now put music in games. music and sound effects weren't seperate. especially ambient sounds like a ship creaking, or wind whooshing or something. here, they are. so when whoever ripped the music from the game and posted them, the ship creaking wasn't there. make sense?
Gotta admit. I think the original is better. The creaking of the ship. The sounds that sounded like Moaning. I miss that. This one's good, don't get me wrong. But the Remake is a little disappointing.
I still remember the creaking sound, can practically hear them too.
Any time I hear this, all I picture is that 3d puzzle

Miss the creaking sound
Seems like the creaking sound is now the ship's "ambient sound" (thus, complements the track).
This part was legit really fun, I'm all for puzzles and the ones they put here were cool
Could fit in KH1's Monstro world and KH2's Pirates of the Caribbean world
KH1 Monstro *or* Captain Hook's Ship too. sounds like it'd fit either one. monstro maybe more though
1:12 tears of the kingdom wind temple vibes
What's weird is that you do hear the creaking sound when playing the game. It's just not connected to the soundtrack for some reason.

Gotta agree with you in this point....for some reason, there is a part in the OG that sounded like a Whale noise
@lunethtemmie866 yeah you're right. Didn't notice that. 🐋
The creaking of the ship is in the remake at least, it's not technically part of the music
@@awesomecake_abc2748 It became a sound effect instead, didnt it?
@@Ghost_Amy yeah my reply had a typo thats what i meant
