Nobody comes close to Ronaldo stardom-wise. Likes of Drake, Lebron are largely known by peeps that follow their respective sport/genres. Ronaldo is know by all, including non-football fans. Messi is a whole different personality--that of the older gen: largely spent their entire careers at one club, spoke on the field and headed on home, no sideshows. No qualms with that. No qualms either with a man that loves the drama like CR7. All in all, Messi seems like the type that will enjoy his retirement. CR7's love for being the center of attention will be a sight to behold when he retires.
Watching this on a Sunday morning after Ronaldo and Messi broke the internet in the LV joint AD is hilarious. I agree with G, Ronaldo is the most influencial person in his era, even babes who don't follow football follow him, Messi is more of a football superstar known within the football circles.
