@@vissenekku Movie suffers from poor cinematography alongside bland new characters and script. Sparrow, Gibs and Barbarossa were basically only ones with any decent part. Spaniard was great also but he played tertiary role anyway.
Jack's father in the third movie: "Hey, boy." Jack: "How's mum?" Jack's dad: shows him his mother. Vkunia: "Why didn't they say or at least imply that it was his father?" 🤪
It seems the one thing Jack fears more than his mortality is the mortality of others. Throughout these films, he came across 3 separate methods to achieve immortality, and turned them all down. The cursed Aztec gold? He saw first hand what it did to Barbossa and his crew, so it obviously wasn't worth it. Stabbing the heart of Davy Jones would have made him the immortal captain of the Flying Dutchman, yet he gave it up to save Will, valuing his friends life over eternal life. The Fountain of Youth certainly appealed to him, but he instantly lost interest when Angelica told him it required human sacrifice. When it was destroyed and it only had enough water left for one last life transfer, he used it to save Angelica. In short, Jack would rather a short but adventurous life than an eternity alone.
They actually DID hint at it in the last movie. When Jack talks to him he asks "How's mum?". And Teague jolds up a shrunken head. Anlso teague calls him "Jackie" as they're talking. There's a famiarity that even Elizabeth doesnt have wirh Jack. You just had to be paying attention, and also not take so long in between that tou forget details. lol.
This movie has really grown on me over the years. When I first saw it, I knew it wasn't as good as the first three, but considering all that's happened with Johnny Depp, Disney, the fifth Pirates movie, and whatever else, this movie is great to me.
@@skychamber_studios It's an okay movie for me. I'll still watch it solely to see Johnny Depp. He steals every scene he's in as Drunken Jack. I did like Barbossa's scenes as well. Everything else feel kinda flat. Though we did get to see Will and Elizabeth again. That's a plus too.
As far as the Pirates of the Caribbean movies are concerned, 1-3 are pretty much perfection in my opinion. The fourth movie was a pretty good one as well. Not as great as the original three but still a good movie to watch. The only real issue with this movie that I can say is that it feels like an extended epilogue to the original trilogy or just a straight up spin-off. But aside from that I don’t really have any complaints about the movie as a whole. It was just a very unnecessary story. However…. Say what you want about POTC 5, but that final scene in the movie was phenomenal. I know that a lot of people do have their complaints about pirates 4 and 5. But tbh, that last seane in the 5th movie really justified everything that happened after the 3rd movie. And considering it seems Johnny Depp definitely is not returning to the role. I’m happy that the ending of the fifth movie really felt excellent enough to be the ending point of the entire storyline for POTC…. Or at least a Great ending for Captain Jack sparrow’s character. No way Disney will let this franchise just end. As for the almost inevitable potc 6. I suppose they could make use of that throwaway line from pirates 4 where Angelica says “I am with child yours” I guess they can make a new storyline following up on Jacks kid & Elizabeth and Will’s son, & Barbossa’s daughter all join up as a team. Then they go on a whole new adventure. Their will most likely be original cast members returning with significant rolls, or at least cameo appearances in the movie. If there is any mention of Jack sparrow, it’ll likely be an explanation saying that last they heard he retired to have a quiet peaceful life. Or sought new adventures far away from the Caribbean and doesn’t know he has a child.
Ian McShane, the actor who plays Blackbeard was one of the actors considered to play Davy Jones in the last two movies, so glad they were able to bring him in to the franchise through this
I unapologetically love this one. It's not the same without Elizabeth and Will, but it's still a great adventure and the ending was excellent. Spain was based.
Fun fact: Jack's dad looks like Jack for more reasons than just being his dad. Jack's dad is played by Keith Richards, who Johnny Depp took a whole lot of inspiration from for the character of Jack Sparrow, saying that "pirates were the rockstars of their time"
I really like this movie (although I might be biased because of the mermaids. I loved their lore and the CGI here. There is not enough mermaid movies). Earlier in the movie it was said that according to the lore, you will be able to breathe under water if a mermaid kisses you. So in my headcanon, Syrena and that man live happily under water :D The fifth movie wasn't really my cup of tea, mostly because it felt like the writers didn't write Jack even remotely well. If you just look at it like a Barbossa movie, it's ok, but I'm really sad what they did to Jack in that movie. The 4th was the last good one for me.
*I apologize for the bad spelling - English is not my native language.* The first three films are a magnificent trilogy. The fourth film, although boring in places, is not so large-scale, but it is not the worst sequel that could come out. Some moments, like the finale or the attack of the mermaids are just great. And the fifth movie is terrible :)

Juan Ponce de Leon was a real person, him looking for the Fountain of Youth is myth 30:36 he planned an escape in the beginning. Purposefully being annoying with the chains, the napkin on the floor. Even in the first movie, him testing Will’s swordsmanship is a trick to letting him get to the door I’m pretty sure Jack meant Barbossa deserved to die when the Pearl was “sunk”, not that he would have gone down with it. He in fact says “You _should_ be sunk with it.” He believed him about the sinking, but not about really being on the British side. And maybe Barbossa also believes it was sunk, he just didn’t see that it actually got shrunken down. It’s the sword that gives that holds the power. The Sword of Triton Eh, I’d say Jack was afraid of dying in 2 & 3. His motivation in 1 is revenge on Barbossa. He does curse himself with the treasure but he gives that up bc he knows it’s a curse I forget which one, but one of the Blackbeard crew said that a kiss from a mermaid supposedly lets you breath underwater. So he should be fine
Im suprised this haven't been comment before... the man playing the father of Jack Sparrow is Keith Richards, member of the legendary "the Rolling Stones" and here's the kicker... Johnny Depp based most of his performance of Jack Sparrow how Keith Richards was perceived in public (when not on stage). That's the whole reason for him being in the Pirates movies to begin with.
Its definitely not a bad movie. Jack Sparrow kind of just hard carries the movie. Which is fine since he is one of the main reasons you wanna watch these movies in the first place.
This is where the series kinda tapers off for the majority of people. But still excited to hear your opinions and maybe hear an insight that I hadn't thought of when watching. Love the reactions!!! ❤❤❤
16:05 I think Blackbeard was the most wasted villain of the entire saga, since he did not make as much impact as Barbossa did in the first film and Davy Jones did in the second and third films. And the ironic thing here, is that we are talking about the most infamous pirate of all time, who in fact existed in real life. 21:40 My main favorite part of the movie is literally the one where the mermaids take protagonism. I remember also by then that I had a huge crush for the first mermaid who appeared which was portrayed by the australian model and actress Gemma Ward. Mainly all the mermaids on this film were absolutely gorgeous. Syrena as well portrayed by Astrid Bergés-Frigsbey.
Fun fact that may or may not have already been mentioned but historically, there were ships with flame throwers. The Byzantines used a substance known as greek fire around the year 670 AD which we believe was something like napalm although we have no idea how it was made. Really deadly stuff
Tbh, I have a soft spot for this one and the next Pirates movie. Granted the main story basically ended already and these are more or less "the continued misadventures of Captain Jack Sparrow," but they definitely have their fun moments.
9:40 they did suggest it, you just didn't pickup on it, Jack said "how's mom" and the dad held up a shrunken head, and Jack commented "she looks great"😅
Fun fact: (dont know if someone already told it) King George character at 6:20 was played by Richard Griffiths, (May he rest in peace) who also played Vernon Dursley in Harry Potter.
9:14 "We saw him in the last movie but he didn't say high dad." Guess you forgot the part were Jack asks, 'How's mum?' and Jack's dad held up a shrunken head?
My favorite line is from the Spanish captain, "Someone make a note of that man's bravery." right after shooting the guy trying to claim the land for England.
My highschool literature teacher came in one day and said that some movie people were offering to buy one of his books to turn into a script. Turned out to be this movie, although all they really kept from the book is the title and Blackbeard. I don't think he was upset about it, just happy to be paid.
When Jack tossed the compass to Gibbs and said "This will lead you to Freedom," he was referring to the Black Pearl...just the way Jack explained the ship to Elizabeth in Curse of the Black Pearl.
17:39 greek fire, a secret mixture which very few ingredients are known (pine resin, naphtha, quicklime, calcium phosphide, sulfur, or niter) was used for the first time by byzantines aka Eastern Roman empire . What makes this weapons almost unstoppable is that the fire unleashed my this mixture couldn't be set off with water, instead, water light it up more. Even by jumping into the sea the cook wouldn't be safe
yes jack and gibbs are really good friends. And he gives him the compass because they are really alike and he knows gibbs and himself wants the same thing. in that particular case, the pearl.
I don't think it comes up again. However, remember at the start of the movie, the guy that was pulled up from the ocean, who was alive from 300 years ago? And the sailors in the longboat before the attack were speaking of a rumour that if you were to be actually kissed by a Mermaid (instead of the more likely result of having your face and throat ripped off and eaten), it would give you the ability to breathe underwater.
To answer your question about whether teague is mentioned as jacks father, jack did ask him "how's mum?" In at worlds end and thats when teague showed him her shrunken head.
They did mention it in the last film. Hint at it really. Him and Jack off to the side while all the other pirates were arguing. “How’s mom?” And he pulled her shrunken head out of his pocket. Then there was the bit when the dog brought him the keys for “The Code”. The others were looking in disbelief as it’s the same dog from the jail cell in Port Royale and the same dog they left on the cannibal island. They look confused, he smiled and just said “sea turtles mate”. Never expressly stated but definitely implied.
Not going to lie, when I saw this in theaters, I hated it. Coming off the first three amazing movie's, it felt very watered down, I even dozed off a couple of times which I've never done at a movie theater. It wasn't until subsequent viewings afterwards when I got the DVD that I grew to really appreciate the movie for what it was. I look at it as a spin off with Jack and Barbosa, which they are amazing when they're on screen together. The mermaids were pretty cool too
13:18 Correction, there were Female Pirate Empresses. Particularly an ASIAN woman who was so respected she was allowed to keep all of her wealth she accumulated. She lived out her days Owning a resturant/Brothel. She commanded the largest NAVY of pirates in Asia.
23:08 when the mermade pulls the missionary in the water but you will notice she actually saves him from a falling, urging part of the llighthouse. I like to think she really did fall in love the moment she saw him.
for me, the worst thing about this movie is that half the ast from the original movies that i loved isnt in it... like cotton, and those 2 guys from barbosa crew, and the 2 former british soldiers... but, i can still enjoy this movie, specialy because barbosa is in it, and i love to see that even tough barbosa and jack tried to kill each other, they still act like somewhat friends
40:20 Of curse. It's almost impossible to fall in love with someone that you don't find physically attractive. The strange thing is that he's ready to sacrifice his life for her, on the basis of physical attraction alone. It's an odd contrast to the love between Jack and Angelica which is primarily based on their mutual personalities.
They mention that it's Jack's dad right after the meeting he says right to him Hows mom and his dad pulls out a shrunken head lol. Black beards casting was perfect they always cast the perfect actors as big name pirates Jack, Barbosa, Davey Jones and Black Beard all perfect casting
17:41 An interesting fact: In the original version, the cook remained alive after that, later Blackbeard turned him into a zombie. The actor was even made up, but in the end this scene was abandoned
it's explained with the mermaids earlier that a mermaid's kiss grants the ability to breathe underwater. she took him away, but not sure where, after she kissed him.
Wanna give context about the drummer on the ship. In this time period drummers were used to make it easier to hear orders. Different beats of the drums meant certain orders.
There's one obscure line of dialogue somewhere in the movie about the kiss of a mermaid letting you breath under water or something, I don't remember 100%
This film is based (very loosely) on a book called, "On Stranger Tides" by Tim Powers. It was published in 1987. It was nominated for the World Fantasy Award for best novel. That being said, the only relationship this movie has to the book is that Blackbeard is trying to find the Fountain of Youth. (Coincidentally, the male and female leads are named Elizabeth and Jack.) Nevertheless, I enjoyed this movie as it continues Barbossa's character arc as well as introducing a historical pirate into the franchise. I look forward to your reaction to the fifth one!
when the quartermaster "slit" philip's throat, he actually jabbed him with a sleeping dart so it looked like philip had been killed. once the drugs wore off, he came back for her. his loyalty to her and the relief of seeing him alive made her cry. the pirates then sprang into action and caught her tear (quartermaster has prophetic vision so im guessing thats how they knew this plan would work plus the quartermaster was the one to "kill" philip too). just to explain that scene ;w;
Another possible explanation for what happens to the guy and the mermaid. In the old 80's movie "Splash" Daryl Hannah played a mermaid and Tom Hanks was her love interest. She too had legs when she was removed from water long enough and dried off. In that movie Daryl Hannah could temporarily endow Tom Hanks with the ability to breath under water by kissing him. We saw Serena kiss the guy before she pulled him into water and swam away with him. Perhaps Serena can do what Madison (Daryl Hannah) did to Tom Hanks. Just a thought.
Jack was at the meeting in Pirates 3 and in the scene, he asks his dad "how's Mum?" Captain Teague holds up a shrunken head and Jack says "she looks great."
This is the point in the franchise where people either stop watching the next ones because they heard how weird/bad they were or they continue because they want to see more/are aware of how weird they are and don't give a damn. Either way, this franchise is awesome, and I can't imagine anyone other than Johnny Depp in the role of Jack Sparrow, it's sad what happened to him in hindsight (curse you, Amber Heard!!!). Love the reactions, have a good day, and I hope that one day we can get to Transformers.
the story of the mermaids is that if one is kissed by a mermaid, they are given the power to live/survive underwater without drowning. Also there was a deleted scene, in White Cap Bay after Jack jumps off the exploding tower, a mermaid approach’s him and slaps his face
I met a biker who dressed, talked and acted like captain jack sparrow, he even had a mad motorbike styled with a pirate carriage and the skeletal monkey on the front light 😂 it was so perfect
In the third film, it was revealed that Captain Teague was Jack’s dad. Jack asks him, “How’s Mum?” Then Teague shows Jack the shrunken head of his mother. And Jack says, “She looks great.”
Jack was at the meeting of the Pirate Captains. His dad is the keeper of the Pirate Codex (Laws). Captain Teague. And they did allude to him being Jack's dad when Jack asked How's mom?.
During the start of the end credits, where the shots are all under water... You can see two mermaids swimming together, one has relatively short hair. A lot of people (myself included) think that's the missionary swimming with the original mermaid.
hi V! Loved all your movie reacrions. Just wanted to say in the scene where Jack gave the compass to Gibbs. Jack said "this will lead you to FREEDOM". Jack actually meant The Pearl when he said FREEDOM. In the 1st movie he described The Pearl as Freedom😊.
The movie itself is alright, but it holds a special place in my heart for having my favorite mermaid scene that I've seen. That boat scene was the first time I've ever fully believed that mermaids can be scary monsters.
Is it the best Pirates movie? No. Is it a hell of a lot of fun to watch? Sure is. :D Got some great one liners. Ian McShane plays the hell out of Blackbeard. He's actually scary. The mermaids were done extremely well. Some really fun action set pieces.
Public hangings used to be quite the event, almost like a sport. There would be food vendors and sometimes people selling memorabilia. Humans have a long history of fascination with the macabre.
i believe the whole thing with the mermaid dragging him under water was that a mermaids kiss will let you breath underwater so my assumption was that they lived happily ever after in the ocean.
Just a heads up: Blackbeard portrayed in this movie isn't quite completely accurate. He preferred to intimidate his targets instead of outright massacre, and he wasn't bloodthirsty either, but he *was* a ferocious fighter when he actually had to fight. On top of that infamous black beard, Edward Teach (Blackbeard's real name) stood about 6'5'' and looked to be about 225 pounds, which was a large man for 1718. He had no children, but DID sail the Queen Anne's Revenge, and almost always spared the captains and crews of the ships he raided. His death occurred in November 1718 just off Ocracoke Island in North Carolina, and no, his headless body did not swim around the ship 3 times.

This is my favorite of the Pirates movies. Most people hate on it because it doesn't have Will and Elizabeth. I've always loved Penelope Cruz and absolutely love Blackbeard and the storyline.
Glad you enjoyed it as well.
It doesn't seem like a bad movie at all, but for some reason I have a hard time staying awake all the way through. Can't explain it.
@@vissenekku Movie suffers from poor cinematography alongside bland new characters and script. Sparrow, Gibs and Barbarossa were basically only ones with any decent part. Spaniard was great also but he played tertiary role anyway.
Jack's father in the third movie: "Hey, boy."
Jack: "How's mum?"
Jack's dad: shows him his mother.
Vkunia: "Why didn't they say or at least imply that it was his father?" 🤪
Biggest duh ever
I was convinced he was Jacks brother for some reason. back when the movie first came out.
I'm sure we've all forgotten details from movies before.
So true
I enjoyed 5 more than I thought I would. maybe it was too late? Could have been worse lol
@@redt8311 That I can agree with.
@@beninmalgaard9836 totally get it
Ian McShane, the actor who plays Blackbeard was one of the actors considered to play Davy Jones in the last two movies, so glad they were able to bring him in to the franchise through this
I unapologetically love this one.
So in my headcanon, Syrena and that man live happily under water :D
The fifth movie wasn't really my cup of tea, mostly because it felt like the writers didn't write Jack even remotely well. If you just look at it like a Barbossa movie, it's ok, but I'm really sad what they did to Jack in that movie. The 4th was the last good one for me.
*I apologize for the bad spelling - English is not my native language.*
The first three films are a magnificent trilogy. The fourth film, although boring in places, is not so large-scale, but it is not the worst sequel that could come out. Some moments, like the finale or the attack of the mermaids are just great. And the fifth movie is terrible :)
AGREED! wholeheartedly mate 😂
This movie has the best live action depiction of mermaids in my opinion
This was most expensive PIRATES movie, $410 million dollar budget! Half the money was donated by Johnny Depp to continue finish filming.
What? I heard they dropped the budget for this one. You can clearly see the movie looks lower quality then the previous 3
Sir, this was actually the most expensive movie EVER made
@@taylercarter3937 you're right I looked it up
@@Xscape128 Pirates of Caribbean 4: On stranger tides is One of the most highed budget movie ever..even one of the most expensive in Hollywood history..it surely past the 3 it predecessor movies in budget..
This is a lot better than the live-action remake of THE LITTLE MERMAID
#notmyariel
The girls who were mermaids I believe were professional swimmers.
And yes, the mermaids here look waaaaaaay better than the live action Little Mermaid.
Why is a racist watching the Little Mermaid in the first place?
And both were made by the same director
OK. Feel better now?
The guy that Jack says "hi, Dad" to is Captain Teague, the keeper of the pirate code book in the previous movie.
While it's true that Jack doesn't call him Dad then, he does ask him "how's Mom?", after which he's shown her shrunken head.
Love how these films tie in together the one before this is my fave one but the one after this is a close second :)
The Spanish are the true Chads of this film.
-Seeks out the thing everyone is looking for
-Arrives mid fight
-Shoots bro mid speech
-Acknowledges his bravery
- "Only GOD can grant Eternal Life."
-Destroys Pagan artifact
-Leaves

Juan Ponce de Leon was a real person, him looking for the Fountain of Youth is myth
30:36 he planned an escape in the beginning. Purposefully being annoying with the chains, the napkin on the floor. Even in the first movie, him testing Will’s swordsmanship is a trick to letting him get to the door
I’m pretty sure Jack meant Barbossa deserved to die when the Pearl was “sunk”, not that he would have gone down with it. He in fact says “You _should_ be sunk with it.” He believed him about the sinking, but not about really being on the British side. And maybe Barbossa also believes it was sunk, he just didn’t see that it actually got shrunken down.
It’s the sword that gives that holds the power. The Sword of Triton
Eh, I’d say Jack was afraid of dying in 2 & 3. His motivation in 1 is revenge on Barbossa. He does curse himself with the treasure but he gives that up bc he knows it’s a curse
I forget which one, but one of the Blackbeard crew said that a kiss from a mermaid supposedly lets you breath underwater. So he should be fine
24:37 Jack Sparrow: "I support the _missionary's_ position."
Sigmund Freud: "I _see._ Tell me more, Jack."
I was looking for this factoid!
I look at the next movie as more Barbossas than Jack's tbh.
Capitalism at it's best 😉
In the last movie yes it wasn’t clearly put, but Teague did say “you’re in my way boy.”
And then their final conversation was “how’s Mum?”
Part of me wants the love story but another part of me wants Syrena to come home with Philip and be like "I brought lunch."
Finally, Vicky is back with the Pirates of the Caribbean.
9:40 they did suggest it, you just didn't pickup on it, Jack said "how's mom" and the dad held up a shrunken head, and Jack commented "she looks great"😅
I genuinely like this movie. It's goofy sure, but it's just a simple adventure starring Captain Jack Sparrow.
Fun fact: (dont know if someone already told it) King George character at 6:20 was played by Richard Griffiths, (May he rest in peace) who also played Vernon Dursley in Harry Potter.
*Dursley
@@rug4565 thanks
9:14 "We saw him in the last movie but he didn't say high dad." Guess you forgot the part were Jack asks, 'How's mum?' and Jack's dad held up a shrunken head?
my biggest youtube pet peeve is when people don’t finish reacting to a series
The Spanish are the heroes of this film
Possible unpopular opinion, but you should also watch the 5th movie. It's a bit off-canon, but still has some fantastic pirate magic in it!
Fun Fact: the acter playing Jack Sparrow's dad is the legendary rockstar Keith Richards
28:33 The "Don't touch the map" line kills me.
I forgot how fucking amazing this movie was and i love how they gave black beard a supernatural element.
yes jack and gibbs are really good friends. And he gives him the compass because they are really alike and he knows gibbs and himself wants the same thing. in that particular case, the pearl.
I don't think it comes up again. However, remember at the start of the movie, the guy that was pulled up from the ocean, who was alive from 300 years ago? And the sailors in the longboat before the attack were speaking of a rumour that if you were to be actually kissed by a Mermaid (instead of the more likely result of having your face and throat ripped off and eaten), it would give you the ability to breathe underwater.
jack dad's name is Captain Tegue he was the keeper of the code. they referenced it last movie by jack asking "how's mum".
Sam Claflin, the actor portraying Philip, the religious one of the crew, also stared in the last three films of the Hunger Games series.
About His dad In 3rd movie Jack did asking his mom to this guy(His dad) ,even though he was not calling him "dad" at all
Not going to lie, when I saw this in theaters, I hated it. The mermaids were pretty cool too
Yes it didn't have the same feel as the first one. From the acting to the visuals
I honestly love this movie soo much, i have seen it soo many time! One of my favorites
it's explained with the mermaids earlier that a mermaid's kiss grants the ability to breathe underwater. she took him away, but not sure where, after she kissed him.
Wanna give context about the drummer on the ship. In this time period drummers were used to make it easier to hear orders. Different beats of the drums meant certain orders.
It was suggested that that older jack looking pirate was jack’s dad last movie. During the meeting jack talked to his dad and asked him how’s mom
Thanks to this film, "My Jolly Sailor Bold" has become one of the unofficial theme songs of Mermaids as a whole.
(Coincidentally, the male and female leads are named Elizabeth and Jack.)
Nevertheless, I enjoyed this movie as it continues Barbossa's character arc as well as introducing a historical pirate into the franchise. I look forward to your reaction to the fifth one!
9:37 - 9:42 they did suggested that that was his father, when Jack asked him "how's mum?" and the father shows Jack his mother's skull...
when the quartermaster "slit" philip's throat, he actually jabbed him with a sleeping dart so it looked like philip had been killed. once the drugs wore off, he came back for her. his loyalty to her and the relief of seeing him alive made her cry. the pirates then sprang into action and caught her tear (quartermaster has prophetic vision so im guessing thats how they knew this plan would work plus the quartermaster was the one to "kill" philip too).
just to explain that scene ;w;
Just a thought.
they did tell you that was jack's dad in the previous movie. jack said "how's mum?" and his dad pulled out a skull, his mother's skull.
39:38 "Jack switched them, 100%."
😯 Vicki! You saw it coming! The twist that took me in, you saw it coming!
He didn't acknowledge him as dad, but did ask about mum and was shown the shrunken head." She looks hood"
19:09 "Are we not _king's_ men?"
_"Aye!"_
"Saw you not the last _movie?"_
the story of the mermaids is that if one is kissed by a mermaid, they are given the power to live/survive underwater without drowning. Also there was a deleted scene, in White Cap Bay after Jack jumps off the exploding tower, a mermaid approach’s him and slaps his face
9:20 He was at the meeting, and after that Jack said "How's mom" to that guy. Implying that it was his dad.
It was mentioned that Jack and Captain Teague were related in the last movie when Jack asked how Mom was doing and Teague held up the shrunken head 😂😂
Flicking the back of his head - now THAT is genius. I like how your mind thinks!
Some really fun action set pieces.
the king of spain a chad among christian warriors.
What about reacting to Pirates of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales😅
We would love that .
Public hangings used to be quite the event, almost like a sport. There would be food vendors and sometimes people selling memorabilia. Humans have a long history of fascination with the macabre.
Jack Sparrow Has a rolling stone for his dad amd a Beatle for his uncle 😂
i believe the whole thing with the mermaid dragging him under water was that a mermaids kiss will let you breath underwater so my assumption was that they lived happily ever after in the ocean.
They did suggest that it was Jack's dad. Jack asked "How's mum?" And Keith Richards held up the shrunken head of a woman
