- The Khao Kheow Zoo in Thailand’s Chon Buri has seen a surge of visitors who want to see a two-month-old baby pygmy hippo, "Moo Deng," after photos of the chubby hippo were posted on social media.

imagine you coming home and wanting to lie down and rest and there's a bunch people standing over you, talking and staring at you.
I know, I wish their enclosure was more private, larger, with lush grass, a lovely pond; with a bowl of fresh water and greens available at all times.
I wish MooDeng could rest without the noise of people constantly moving through.
I hope this doesn't stress momma out too much! 😥💔

Agree,very cheesy enclosure. You'd think that with all the $$ their making from shirt sales ect,that they can build a nice enclosure for mom and daughter. But like everywhere else the $ goes right into the pocket.😢
@@Michael-p2i This enclosure is meant to be a nursery. Moo Deng will be moved to a bigger enclosure when she gets older.
She does have a small pond that gets cleaned out daily. Moo Deng will be transferred to a bigger enclosure when she gets older.
@@Michael-p2i Thai zoos are overseen by the Royal Family. Any $$ that goes to the zoo goes to all the Thai zoos. No one is pocketing $$ here. Thai people don't have a lot of disposable income. Do you really think there are millions coming in???

She is adorable, but seeing that barren pen with no other hippos is too depressing to watch. Hippos are social creatures who live in pods -- they should be in the wild with other hippos and natural enrichments.

Thailand zoo please keep clean water available
I am shocked to see there is not a bowl of fresh water available at all times.
There's not even a source of water, like a pond, that momma and MooDeng could drink from when thirsty.
Old, stagnant water simply does not cut it! 😤
Water is a necessity of life, especially with hippos, and this is so disappointing and disheartening to witness 💔😥

I finally found him
Even Mommy Hippo checks on Moo Deng if it is ok. It is sound asleep and not bouncing. Moo Deng finally gets worn out of all the attention. Plus, Moo Deng is missing its playmate (the zoo keeper). He is not there to play with it. 😂😂😂😂😂
Please make their enclosure more private!! Poor momma does not look very relaxed. I understand the excitement from the people but the hippos are more important.
Don't they have a shed or someplace they can go to get out of the rain and sun? Even a little shed with hay in it would be better than just laying on the griund. Don't they get sunburn? Her momma is hungry. Such an adorable little baby!❤❤❤😊
If you don’t know then don’t comment. They produce something that acts as a natural sun screen.

They grow up fast ladies. He'll be an eligible bachelor in no time. And you don't have to worry about shedding like you did with your bear.
She's been abused so much by so called zookeeper she doesn't want to move. He should be arrested and jailed for animal cruelty. Poor baby!💔

Jesus, can you please add some more water?..they should have a deep spot where its deep enough for moma to go totally under the water, teach baby how to swim under water. Look at the little puddle there in,very sad.if your not going to treat them right give them to a zoo in the states or set them free in the wild.

There should be a bowl of fresh water provided continuously in their enclosure (plus a bowl of greens too).
Unfortunately, there appears to be no water source, i.e. pond, where Momma and MooDeng could drink from when thirsty.
I feel bad for them ~ no privacy, in such a small enclosure with the continuous sounds of people.
How lovely it would be if they had more privacy, a quieter place to live, with lush grass and a pond 💔
