I was stucked on the 4th altar because the platform was too high and couldn't connect the bridge. So here is a solution if you have the same problem: go back to the 11:18 part of this video and activate the switch. Then go to the platform where your pet is waiting, then lower the lift. It solved the problem for me.
Whoever who designed this part should be fired. This is the type of mistakes only beginner game makers make, where u only consider and demand the player to do 1 thing and never considered possibilities. I refuse to believe that if they had actually tested this properly none of the testers used the birds and got stuck. Game making practice like colour, culture or power creep or even rewards etc that people don't like is one thing, but for the game itself to not even be tested and done properly is absolutely unacceptable. Heck this is the same type of mistakes year 1 game students make.
Actually I think they're intentionally do this and I'm not saying it's a good thing. But after playing this game for 4 years I can 100% says that Mihoyo likes to Stalling player's time. Like even a micro seconds they wants you to stay in the game as long as possible. They don't even care how bad the mechanics or anything is. Like you can see how long the pause when you talk to an NPC like there's a really really long pause before the next text or NPC action happens. Even something like you want to craft your Resin in Mondstadt they're intentionally make a random NPC to stand there just to make you accidently click on and NPC and waste 10 more seconds. There's also the similar thing in Inazuma I think it's probably the craft table and a store sign really close to each other and yup it's the same thing in Mondstadt they want you to waste another 10 seconds. My assumptions would be devs wants player to take as long as possible to finish content for each patch so they have more time to develop the new patch which is correct on paper. But yeah as you can see. They decided to choose the worst way possible to stall players time. Which everyone hates it.
If you are stuck, it's not a bug. You should connect the middle part to any available lifts from the floating islands, and lift the middle part by activating the lift from the islands. It's a bit complicated and kinda badly designed but it works. So remember, connect the middle to the lifts and you can raise the middle part by controling the lift, in case you skipped some stages with flying.
A lot of people are saying "if you get stuck do X specific thing" but a broad rule of thumb is that if a light bridge is connected to the main alter, and you raise or lower the lift it links to, it brings the alter with it, that's how you fix height problems with the alter, just link the alter with a light bridge to whatever lift can move it in the vertical direction you need to move it, and it will move with the lift when it goes in that direction. This is a really needlessly annoying thing to do with the alter and all they had to do was add a switch that moves it up or down.

i reached the top part of 8:28 by grappling with kinich, what happened was the pet Tp on top too but the event that should trigger on 8:28 didnt happen
This was most stupid quest Ive ever done but i finally solved it. READ THIS IF STUCK/FELL/RESTARTED GAME: If the middle big base platform with 4 bridges is too low for the last firestone alter, connect the other bridges lowest elevations and bring each one up one by one. Extend the orange bridge to a side island platform. Walk to the up/down platform. Rise it. REPEAT UNTIL HIGH ENOUGH
11:22 if anyone had the same glitch as me and was stuck here because Bona wasn’t helping, even though you had the exact same setup, I figured it out the solution (it’s very easy!). You need to manually connect and lift the main platform (that Bona’s on) to where you and the munchkin are waiting. To do that, lower the lift atw to the bottom. Then, using the stones on the main platform, make it to where one of the two longer bridges is facing the one you’re at (the stone turns the platform towards the direction it’s on, so it basically switches with the bridge on the opposite end.) Once you connect the bridge and platform at the bottom, go back to that high point and raise the lift back up. It will bring the platform up with it. And that’s it! You’ll be able to tell your pet to move forward since you brought it up to the top without derpy Bona’s assistance.
If the central core structure is too high, you need to tweak it so that it is connected to one of the lifts with a yellow transparent bridge, the go to the end of that bridge and you can adjust the whole structure lower to your saurian pet's lift
JUST DID IT (so i kind went on the last one first than the second one. IF YOU EVER GOT STUCK, follow that 3rd puzzle bridge (THE ONE ON UR RIGHT OK the one where the vid showed activating it so you can link the upper bridges) and activate it
@xyadriz yes i found the way to take the machanism up. the one on the left is needed take the bird all the way up and then u can pres something and they bring it up then go back to ur companion and do it
If you have problem with the middle platform(too high or too low) YOU NEED TO CONNECT PHLOGISTON BRIDGE BETWEEN MIDDLE (CORE) PLATFORM WITH ANY PLATFORM IN ANY ISLAND after that you can change the height of middle platform by changing the lift level in the panel of island which connected to middle platform via phlogiston bridge
I was stuck on the last part because the height was lower. What you need to do is go on the left side and change the bridge to the long one so it connects once it has its yellow connection step on the small part and raise the lift, this will raise the altar to the right height for the fourth part which is the front now go back to the Altar and change the bridge for the Front to the long bridge and go to the small raising and lowering lift and lower it to connect once you connected it raise the lift so the pet can return to the altar.
If u mess up the 1st time going to the (north west) alter and your saurus buddy gets stuck there. .. Then come back to the main alter area where u can rotate the mechanism and go to the (south west) alter...climb on top of the ruins and ..there on top you'll find another mechanism to raise the main control alter to the highest level, that'll connect the main control area to the (north west ) alter where your saurus buddy is ..and he'll able to come back.
Hopefully this helps but if you're facing the last altar. Go to the altar on the left and lift the floor upward. This should lift the whole platform up to the right height and then continue the puzzle
If you're wondering how to lower the entire structure and too lazy to watch, the structure has to have a phlogiston bridge connected too a lift and then you lower the lift and it then lowers the structure with it.
If you are stuck at the second highest one like I was (since I accidentally skipped it for the highest on) make sure the orange bridge is connected to the highest and you will have an option to lower it (took me 19 minutes of trying). Also make sure the long side is facing the side on the second highest.
If the altar is too high or too low for your island go to an island that CAN connect with the altar (it has the transparent bridge) and click higher or lower and it will change the entire middle altar level.
IF THE CENTER IS TOO LOW: Go SW and lower the bridge and raise the bridge (this will move up the center). Go NW and lower the bridge then raise the bridge.
There's a waypoint. Check your map and zoom a lil bit in. You need to be on the "upper" part of the map. Hope you know what I mean 😅 Had the same problem after finding this shetty waypoint.

@@Kiiroi_gen if you fall down from the top on the 4th one to the lower floor, you can use the bird to fly up. if u fall allll the way down to the bottom it should reset you anyways. if not there’s a teleport, but it is quite far to travel again.

For those stuck on the 4th one, make sure you climb up those towers and there's a mechanism where you can "raise to the left."

If u are having trouble linking the west bridge to the middle, go back to north side and there's a mechanism to lower the bridge.

You should lower your brightness, I'll tell ya it's the best feeling ever and it won't make your eyes feel uncomfy :D
