It must sound strange. But if you see yourself as something that is not completely in control, this also brings you closer to nature. Like seaweed moving back and forth through the waves. We respond to everything around us. We are part of nature. And the current, the storm and the setbacks we have had have shaped us. But is there any point in being angry about something we have no control over? I'm not spiritual but walking through a quiet forest with old trees is what makes me most happy.

I have ADHD and a mild form of autism. I now take medication to help me concentrate better. It doesn't work optimally, but it is an improvement. I don't actually believe in free will. We have no choice where we are born. Which genes we inherit. We are our brains and we respond to stimuli. Our unconscious mind makes the decisions, a story is created in your brain as to why the decision was made. Our unconsciousness is guided by stimuli and your brain learns from that. That does not mean that you cannot be proud of what you have achieved, because apparently you have good genes (which is also visible). But I'm afraid that there are people who compare themselves with others and try so hard to live up to an unattainable ideal image. And therefore become deeply unhappy. Shouldn't the most important thing in our society carry the most weight? I think anyone who tries to do good for others can be proud of themselves.
