I genuinely think it looks good on Chris. When he initially settles his hair after seeing it in the mirror, it's definitely an improvement

To be fair, saying, "Chris has been growing his hair out for a couple of weeks." Makes it sound like he was growing his hair out for the intention of a style or because of this, so saying, "Not intentionally" is what someone would say

I knew that he'd end up ginger. Dark haired people need several bleachings to be blonde
And they didn't do the important step afterwards of applying toner to get rid of the brassiness.
Also depends on the level, but yeah toner is important. She also mixed it before they started, it could have been sitting there for a while.
Or just use harsher chemicals
