I have a single state license in Texas? How can I change it to a compact license?
I got my RN license in Idaho which is a compact state but under compact status it says “single state” Why is that?
If you live in a compact state egFlorida but did the exam in a non compact state eg New York What do you have to do to get a multi state license?

Yes. As long as you pass the NCLEX and will be able to meet the requirements of the Board where your initial license will be endorsed.

How long does it for the endorsement process
petro phillips it depends to the state board where we endorse your initial license. Usually around 3-6 months processing. Depending on the board. :)
Ma'am Rachel, correct me if I'm wrong. If the state if New York, I cannot endorse my license to other state unless if I will work first po doon, tama po?

If we have single STATE license and endorse to the state that use compact license, do we need to leave the License of previous single state or we can use both the license at a time.

I have texas compact state licence do I need to endorse for Oklahoma
Bikash Parajuli hello. Upon checking, Oklahoma is not part of the NLC, therefore, to have an authority to practice as a nurse, one must do a license endorsement.
No Oklahoma is a part of NLC
Bikash Parajuli I stand corrected. I rechecked another source and have seen that it’s part of eNLC. In that sense, you can use your compact license to practice in Oklahoma. Here’s maybe a good read : nurse.org/articles/enhanced-compact-multi-state-license-eNLC/

Hello Kristine, the endorsement process will just be fine. With the clients that we have assisted, around 4-5 months of processing. To get a compact license, not hard if you have also all the requirements needed. It is possible.=)
