a fisherman's worst enemy is anticipation of whats on his hook.. an a fisherman's best friend is the "DRAG" knob, lever or switch depending on ur reel.. we could catch more fish if we learn to use them.. take ur time fellas!!!
Kahncus Akwerius don’t forget that if you want to loose the fish alive you can’t do it as you sayin you will kill the fish .... here in Europe we work with the reel rode and experience and we do kill the fish in water and take them home to eat . Different type of fishing tho
this video is all about the moment, the right place at the right time. We all live for these moments and we try so hard to bring them into being, mostly never able to attain them... but then suddenly after enough toil, trials and failure, the moment just emerges... you don't catch it but it catches you! And becomes a day you never forget, a moment you live in forever!! And these guys got it and captured it! This is life!
i'm a NATIVE Floridian, now residing in Western Mass.....THIS IS STILL one of my favorite vidz to watch, man! Yall boyz remind me of MYSELF, fishing when the storm's ROLL'N IN! GOTTA LOVE IT! Some ppl don't realize that it's ONE O THE BEST TIMES TO GO! LOL.....TIGHT LINES TO YA, PIMP'N!
Nice video. I love rough water and bad weather fishing. Most people leave and throw the towel in. But 8 out of 10 times its a mistake. The pressure drops and the bite turns on. I've caught 30-35 lb. King Mackerel in straight mud water on the sandbar. In the fall in Venice Florida. My rule is no lightning no reason to leave. Enjoyed the video.
This is the first video I saw of BlackTipH. Since then I have been hooked. Pun intended. This is why I miss Florida fishing and do it everytime I go back to Jax.
You guys are the most hardcore saltwaterfishers i have ever seen!!! Really awesome!!! I could feel the tears comming in my eyes when he lost the shark... No fuss!! There will be more! You just recieved my abbo my friends;))) Many many greetings from Holland
Wow this was one his first start videos and it’s still awesome! Sorry blacktiph for not watching this sooner! Just came from the hurricane Hanna video.
I hope Jeff learnt a couple lessons considering he lost both a fish and a shark. Firstly on the fish, point the rod in the air applying pressure and keeping the line tight - not to the side. Secondly on the shark, he tightened the drag up way too much causing the line to break - he then tried to blame it on the knot. He was panicked and rushed, he needs to learn to take his time to fight and turn the fish [or shark in this case] on the end of his line. Better luck next time, just learn from your losses and one day you'll get that trophy sized photo. Also one other thing, if you plan on releasing the fish please don't put your hands up underneath within the gills as it often damages them and makes them less likely to survive once released.
This is a perfect "the one that got away video", Good job on that nice Bull (red drum). the look on the face of the dude with the drum when that Avet 80 starts screaming a 3:15 is priceless :D!
nothing "untrue" about a person who chooses to eat a fish caught and retained legally, either. One could argue that making sport of it is the "untrue" part.
that was a stupid statement about if everyone keeps the fish the ocean would be depleted.. you do know how fast fishes reproduce right? its the commercial fishing and toxic waste that's depleting it
I was at a lake here in texas a while back and they had a limit on brim fish, these little fish are not edible to a lot of people but the orientals was keeping everything they caught and because they keep everything the lake was getting depleted of feeder fish that bass and crappie fed on. when you deplete a fish or fish size it affects the system. everything affects the system even one fish
We yak baits here in Texas, never ever without a pfd. I don't care how good a swimmer you are. 20/0 hook in your thigh with steel leader and 15 pound rock and 4 pound ray dragging in the current, good luck getting back in! no one going to save you out there.
+iamatt Just putting in looked hazardous enough out there. Maybe I'm just chicken, but the beach looking area on the north side of the inlet, west side of the bridge looked worth the wait.
i lived in sebastian for a little over a year and i know there are some giant fish in the inlet...but ive only seen a few people catch them and bringem on land...good job guys
Fun video. You may have lost the shark because your leader was not long enough. The skin on a shark will wear through mono. If you are hunting for a 10 foot shark, use at 12-15 feet of wire. Good luck. Oh yeah- just had to say- next time you may want to get redfish back in the water a little more quickly to increase their chances of survival. Imagine sprinting then being held under the water at the end of your sprint! :-)
Dont do this..unless you have been doing this for 1-2 years....makes no sense :) I think his "Disclaimer" was a bit lacking :) Ok So where is the "EXTREME" part ? Fishing on slippery rocks ? I am lost here guys.
Michael, the reason for that is because bigger fish=more eggs and sperm. It's these fish that are the most for the reproduction stock. Besides, most huge fish don't even taste that good, young adults are better.
Its called a "slot limit", and its based on the biology and reproduction of the red drum. You can keep redfish over 18" and under 27". Redfish bigger than that are breeders, spawn offshore and used to be fished commercially using spotting planes. It almost wiped out the species so they outlawed it and introduced size restrictions.
Awesome video! I fished an 80 wide from Jupiter Inlet and almost got spooled. We caught many a Huge bullshark from that inlet and off of A1A Bridge. Good stuff!!!
great action ,what a great session well done can see you are dedicated anglers , like myself ,shame about loosing the shark, but great to see you return such good fish, a very well done , tight lines daryl
Not bad at all. Lived in Brevard for nearly 20 years and hit the inlet many times. Bad weather is the best since everyone packs it in and you get plenty of room to yourself. Many of the public docks about a mile north of the inlet are also killer for night fishing. Plenty of nights hooking tarpon and snook until 5 in the morning. That's about the only thing I miss about the place;)
That's how you use a throw net! No putting it over your shoulder or in your teeth. Just make sure everything is right and choke up on larger ones and throw it straight out. A Russian guy tought me this method and it works perfectly. Even with giant rocks and current like in this vid I rarely get hung up. I have to get back down to Florida. Great fresh and salt water fishing.
I agree with most positive comments here. My favorite video from balcktip. Very intense, great catches! What ever happened to that guy in the white shirt?
I realized that if u catch a big shark u shouldnt lean because if the line brakes ur gonna fall back and get hurt but i been a tru supporter of ur channel since 2016
The video that built BlacktipH, I've seen this so many times but its still great!

Jeff is a great friend

true sportsmen, catch and release...well done guys
nothing "untrue" about a person who chooses to eat a fish caught and retained legally, either. One could argue that making sport of it is the "untrue" part.
true but if everyone keep all the fish, the water would be depleted

PSA: Don't go out kayaking on dangerous waters without at least 2 years experience kayaking on dangerous waters.
This really cracks me up.
And how would you get experience if you cant kayak...
Here after Extreme Saltwater Fishing 2, crazy.
Good to see sea anglers handling the fish with care - great video lads.
1rod1reels sound effects when he trys to catch a saltwater fish is too funny.

First black tip h video I’ve ever seen
2019?
I've been there it's such a good fishing spot
Dont do this..unless you have been doing this for 1-2 years....makes no sense :) I think his "Disclaimer" was a bit lacking :)
Ok
So where is the "EXTREME" part ? Fishing on slippery rocks ? I am lost here guys.
Robert Hardy do you have a better video we can watch?
Robert Hardy Where were you ? I think that fish he hooked on the big reel was more than standing on slippery rocks...
He's talking about Kayaking out baits you guys are all f****** stupid
what he is referring to is the strong current clearly very dangerous rip tides going through a small point and clearly he struggled hence the warning.
That's no place to be in a boat no less a kayak..I'd be a more than a lil nervous floating thru the inlet
please dont ever stop making these videos! I love them!!!!
The 1st video I ever watched of black tip
put some KFC on that hook, you'll know what your goanna catch
:D Thats the fest idea ever!!
***** Fucking racist.
SpeedyDemonHD im so sorry your black, don't like it? don't read it.
Avery Voight I am not black I just don't like fucking racism. It is just ignorant.
SpeedyDemonHD o well, I don't care about you dumb feelings
how was u going to land a shark there ???
WHY DO U LET THEM GO? YOU CAN SELL THEM OR EAT THEM LOL
It's illegal to harvest redfish over 27 inches in the state of Florida.
oh didnt knew that thanks :)
+BlacktipH I don't fish so forgive me. Why is it illegal to catch them over 27 inches? I know there are these sorts of rules for all different types.
you a hell
Michael, the reason for that is because bigger fish=more eggs and sperm. It's these fish that are the most for the reproduction stock. Besides, most huge fish don't even taste that good, young adults are better.

Thank you for releasing. I read that it was out of the slot limit, but your other response said you usually release them.
Unbelievable stuff. Keep it going guys
Chris O'Sullivan fishing lmao 2019,

Awesome video. I’ve always wanted to land a Bull Red. They’re real fighters. Thanks guys 👍🏼
Catch and release is fishing for the future. This should be encouraged in all fishing situations, not just when it's illegal to keep fish.
Great video of great fishing. Like that you released your second catch.
Man that was fun to watch. I love catching bull red they can put up some of the best fights.
Thanks for giving all the information about the leader, swivel, etc..
Naš
there usually is a bunch of people but do to the weather it was not busy that day as you can see. this place is truely amazing for fishing

What ever happened to that guy in the white shirt?
Sabastian Inlet is one of the nicest little inlets ever. I used to fish right on the other side!
3:33 "There is so much going on!" is probably my favorite thing to say while fishing.
Sebastian Inlet
Wish all fishing journeys where like this,
Tight lines all!
Catch and release that what I call spot fishing...keep up the good work guys...
@Lim Eric the only place my red fish are getting released is on my... Grill. 😂👍

Grande Samuele, grazie !!! ^_^
Great day of Fishing guys...thanks for the video. Al
I realized that if u catch a big shark u shouldnt lean because if the line brakes ur gonna fall back and get hurt but i been a tru supporter of ur channel since 2016
But well done, at least you put the Redfish back! :-)
I do a lot of river fishing here in Michigan, but I sure do miss the salt water fishing. Never had a large shark on but that looks like so much fun!
Now this is a throwback
Using stingrays is the only way to get away from nurse sharks. Stingrays are fish, let's not play favoritism here.
I am a big fan keep the good vids up
