It's so awesome that you give your employees chances to learn and progress in the business. Alot of people don't do that.

Nice work Todd. That is a typical Western North Carolina Driveway. When that red dirt dries out and gets a couple of big trucks passed over it, the stuff turns to concrete. I've had log trucks on that stuff on a 15 percent grade drive on it without any problems. Good luck with the little one. We hope she and Mom are healthy and happy.

Wow, compared to the Iron Range in Minnesota, that dirt looks easy to cut into vs the rock we have. I’m learning as I go (as a hobby) as I look in at your projects. Nice job!

As always enjoying the video have you thought about getting a bucket when you have to use your skid steer moving loose dirt not good for dirt but it’s good for loose dirt and loading material

Another great Toddcast! I appreciate the time you take to make these. I need to put in a drive and creek crossing on my place and I am studying up on equipment that I am not familiar with. I rented a mini ex recently and my wife told me I looked like a kid that was too big for the bigwheel. 😂 ( 6’7 and 250lbs)

How much was the total cost to the customer for this driveway?

Awesome video, I'd like to see more of how you're going to bring it to where a vehicle can drive down there or up there

Now a big rainstorm comes in and wash lots of lose dirt into the road. That's what always happens to me. A river of mud washing down the road.

Quick dirt question…what’s a good go-to material for graveling a road…if it’s on a decent base already? Thanks…ran a mini ex for a week thought about a new line of work. Good times playing in the dirt.

Depends on a lot of factors like where you are at, how steep is the road, whats the base, what type of traffic, etc. For a driveway with a solid, stable base you could get away with 5/8" minus. We also put down a lot of 1 1/4" minus. As long as it has fines in it, it will compact pretty solid. You could also use asphalt grindings. My suggestion would be to contact your local gravel pit and see what they recommend. Your rock is going to be different than my rock and what works for me may not work for you.

Aren't you suppose to have way more top material coverage on top of those hdpe culvert pipes than you have there?

Ya know Pete that’s a good question. It’s usually when I have a lot of just pushing to do which is rare for me
