They typically test new features like this with a small percentage of users for a while before rolling it out to everybody. Probably why the video is unlisted at the moment.
There are stricter guidelines for channels seeking monetization. Otherwise you can broadcast however you want (aside from a few copyright/decency rules). Isn’t that correct? I think..

TH-cam has a lot of money, but everything developing extremely slow, everything is lagging, content creators treated terribly! TH-cam Creators, please INVEST SOME MONEY IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. Show people that you "care".
My videos are my own artwork and fan art about nature and people. Drawing and painting digitally is one of my passion at this stage of being a senior. I feel the BLISS knowing that at my age, I could still do what I missed during my younger years.
So just a quick question: When all of my videos get immediatly demonetized after upload automatically, even though they are ad friendly, should I just say myself that they are not ad friendly just to ask for a review so your system can trust me? Like how should that even work, I don´t get it. In the end I would still rely on manual reviews because your automated system sucks.
I have the same problem. I add my Aliexpress reviews for a long time and there was never a problem, and after the update my video was immediately demonetized, although my content is friendly ;/.

Now the issue is TH-cam Staff's morals vs. Creator's. I might be shooting a bow and arrow, and put that the content is advertiser friendly. A reviewer decides decides I'm performing a dangerous activity, and puts me at risk of permanent demonetization for "inaccurately rating" my own video. In the end, full-time creators are still living in fear and instability. This hardly helps anything, sadly.
ZNA Productions - it's the same with their absurd 'Hateful Content' category - they are pushing creators into a corner and it is incredibly frustrating
TH-cam should help creators monetize and not try to destroy them without offering them an assistance service, because the video review service is embarrassing, they don't even watch the videos and they invent minutes and things never done/said in the video to demonize the creators, you should change 99% of the work team and hire people who actually watch the videos and point out why a video cannot be monetised!!
It doesn’t work. They don’t leave notes they make more errors than you will , and they punish you but hold no accountability. They demonitized videos and still run ads to keep all the revenue.

They could start by telling us why it was demonitized to begin with... a time stamp with a policy reference would be a good start. Then we could cut it out, re upload and resubmit. How are we supposed to improve and comply if we don't know what the violation was?
all my viewers are saying they are not getting notified. even a creator that supports my channel and is moderator and the same goes for me i don't get notified if she goes live.....!
going with your logic we won't have any sponsors, non of us works for free here, WE DO need advertisers otherwise 90% of your favorite TH-camrs would leave the site, and with Advertisers comes responsibilities, it's what it is.

People have requested manual reviews of their "limited/no ad" videos that are 100% "advertiser friendly" and got rejected for years now. In fact, manual review results have been so inconsistent that no humans could possibly be behind it because no humans would make that many mistakes.
or there are many humans, un-consistent results are more a indication of human interaction, not automation as it usually gives the exact same results each time (example, i re-uploaded a video several times, it was demonetized automatically every time, but half/half of manual reviews gave it the green light, the manual review system works as intended, it might not be perfect for the creator each and every time, but for what it is i'd not expect anything else) the best thing is to have to avoid manual reviewing in the first place, if this new system can do that, or atleast help you in avoiding manual reviews then it's great
@Nordern: TH-cam said a while back they would hire 10,000 people to check over content but their employee numbers for the entirety of TH-cam still aren't even that high. According to Davic Zvitch (and admin of TH-cam) answering a question on Quora (Titled: "How many people work at TH-cam?"), they have only about 2,000 (Apparently due to being registered with Google though, there's more like 3k-4k) and Google as a whole a bit over 88,000. But let's say they really have a lot of humans for example: Humans can make mistakes, sure. But most of the kinds of mistakes you see made are more akin to automation because of how obvious some things are that didn't get approved upon "manual review". You said there in your experiments it ended up half and half for instance. 50% is a suspiciously high amount of flubs even for different humans looking at the same content, so I wouldn't say that is working as intended. Avoiding manual reviewing would be great, but remember that the reason why things get flagged upon upload to begin with is by automation. So it's automation for detection and automation for "manual review". Given there will always be flaws in automation, the only way to solve it is to get rid of the automation altogether. I understand that the reason "why" there's automation is because there isn't enough manpower to look over the sheer amount of content uploaded to TH-cam that may not be "advertiser friendly" and advertisers got on them over it, but what's an automated system to say what an advertiser would like anyway? A ton of stuff they wouldn't want ads on still gets ads with no issues. That's why various ad companies pulled out of TH-cam because they don't trust the system even after they implemented the automation. @ibo Erdnuss: Think about that for a second. Loads of content is uploaded to TH-cam every minute so you can bet there's a lot of things that get flagged and people need to set up a supposed manual review. For them to get to your video in only 30 minutes in a queue of hundreds, if not thousands of videos that get requested for "manual review" couldn't possibly have a human do it in that span of time, every time. I mean it's great that your's gets approved every time in such a short span, but it doesn't sound manual.
As long as advertisers are paying the bills for TH-cam and creators, then yes, we have to please them. The only way to get away from this is if we kick advertisers off the platform. Only way to do that is to monetarily support creators who reduce ads in return or if a ton more people sign up for TH-cam Premium. Premium removed ad space on the platform and creators get money whether their videos are suitable for advertisers or not. Someone has to foot the bill and whoever does is in control. Want to kick advertisers out of the captain's chair? Then we have to pay the money to keep the platform and creators funded.

Thanks for keeping us CREATORS informed with this policy update. Not many creators will jump for joy over this, but me for one, I understand the reason for changes and the necessity to implement them. As a footnote... I only wish you guys would "stop the bots" and put some REAL humans to work, especially when it comes to copyright infringement, evaluating child ratings, promoting/ad placements, and paying out (to the creators) proper royalties for OUR videos that we work so hard to produce. TH-cam is... a great service, I can't complain, IT'S TOTALLY FREE, and it's virtually unlimited video storage. "Can't beat that!!!"

I've had a live stream with over 120,000 views and counting that's been under review for over 6 months, 6 freaking months and over 90,000 views and still it's a yellow icon with under review, the system is a scam, like the virus hoax

You recieved it now because now you will soon be getting this function. Functions are rolled out slowly over time. Not everyone recieve them at the same time for obvious reasons.
First off, we love this platform. It has given us an opportunity to work from home as people with disabilities. For that, we are grateful. In addition, we are able to build a community that has similar interests and are eager to support you as an artist. Having said this, there are a few problems with it. The self certification feature does NOT help live streamers! It's just a fact. Next, we as creators would love to see TH-cam be more aggressive about protecting creators against fake take down claims, false reporting, and honestly, other creators that may be using the system to target others based on jealousy or other nefarious reasons. This platform could be better than it has ever been if you guys worked with AVERAGE creators more. The big guys are doing just fine. The little guys are the ones in a dog eat dog limbo out here. One step forward and two steps back‼ I honestly believe things could get better. But you all need to start listening to micro creators more.

It's a good start but needs to be much more in-depth. Especially when it comes to gaming channels which can literally be placed in any category depending on how sensitive the person reviewing or watching it is.

Took our first swing [and a miss] at this new self-rating system. We had multiple folks look very carefully and skeptically at both the self-cert questions and at the actual policy/violation rules for our topic. We selected "Hunting-related content or guns shown in a safe environment like a shooting range (Allow ads)" for a recent gun review. We do not sell guns or do any sales pitches for people who do. Just an honest 3rd-party review and a very docile gun video by any standard. Demonitized out the gate by your algorithm. So we requested a manual review [which we always have to do for everything because it is always yellow from the start]. Demonitized again... for good this time. Can't tell you how many video's just like this one are monetized [many]... including many on our own channel. So the question is why did this most recent video get the ax? We still have no answers and no clue... actually we are left more confused than ever before.
That's an amazing tool, but is useless if you upload a video totally able for monetize and your review is good and youtube decides to put limitted ads or no ads and we have to ask for a revision and lose a lot of monetizable views.
This is a PHENOMENAL informational video, thank you so much for putting this together. I love how you are giving creators this feature and that you're holding us accountable for accuracy. I am so proud of what TH-cam is doing for their creators and can't wait to see what happens next!
I am very excited about this! I do hope that TH-cam's reviewers are much more consistent on monetization. For example, I produce some videos on firearms. For example, I have four different firearms that I shoot on a public government-owned and operated range. Out of these four videos, 2 may be fully monetized while the other two run limited adds even if all four videos follow the same general format. Hopefully, this will reduce this problem.

Thanks for this. I have been on youtube a long time and joined to get my Music out there. It is a great platform for self-publication. Monetization is a bonus for me but I appreciate others rely on it as a main source of income. It is certainly a better way to get heard than doing The Old Grey Whistle Test (LOL) or touring around with Manuscripts. I think self-certification is a step forward. I hope all the creators apply it with the right intentions.
I don't mean to seem difficult. However, all of my videos are marked with a yellow icon immediately upon upload. I have to ask for a manual review each and every time. Additionally, the manual review results in inconstant responses based upon content friendly guidelines which are vague, to put it mildly. My videos NEVER have offensive language, nudity, sexual innuendos, violence or the like. Still, many of my videos are marked with yellow icons simply because my channel is firearms and second amendment oriented. There is never an explanation as to why one video receives a yellow icon while another very similar video received a green icon. It's like going to the DMV. The answer always depends upon which window I walk up to. In your case, it depends upon the personal bias of the manual reviewer. In that environment, it is impossible for me to "self certify" with any hope of actually complying with your dysfunctional and bureaucratic monetization system. Consequently, I won't bother. When you folks can make your guidelines crystal clear, then I'll be happy to take part in this effort. Until then I'll just upload my videos with the understanding that all of them will be marked with a yellow icon as per usual. At which point, I'll request a manual review.

Judging from some videos I've seen from TH-camrs, getting the yellow symbol automatically restricts video reach. Why then, would a creator deliberately hamstring their ability to get their video seen. Or has there been a change where demonetization doesn't suppress the video in the recommendeds?
An extra option where you can give a clarification to potential "non adverteser friendly" part in your video preemptively would be a great addition to this new system, so we as creators can be more open about our content and the reviewers can judge accordingly the first time based on our clarification. If that were to be added it would save alot of time and stress..

What about video game violence? The only part where this is addressed in the guidelines is here "Violence in the normal course of video gameplay is generally acceptable for advertising, but montages where gratuitous violence is the focal point is not." It's so vague and unclear. Does it really refer to video games when it says "video gameplay" ? What on earth does "gratuitous violence is the focal point" mean? FPS shooter gameplay won't get accepted? It doesn't make sense to me. Please someone explain. I want to comply if it's reasonable.
From my understanding, that means that a FPS game is fine as it's the normal course of the game, but if you go to GTA and starts bullying and murdering pedestrians for no reason, than it's not fine. Also, GTA videos might get limited if the video contains drugs or mature contents. That's what I understood, I could be wrong.
I've just joined the partner program this week and I'm quite happy with the automated system. There was only one I thought it got wrong out of 280 videos. I appealed it and it was reinstated very quickly. I don't swear much, but there's a couple of videos in which I do and the automated system said it was fine, whereas I would have tagged it 'light profanity' and it would have been restricted. It seems like a lot of work to have to fill out a form for each video myself. After creating video descriptions, thumbnails and subtitles, I don't think I'd have the energy left. I'd rather just let the automated system do it and appeal anything I think it gets wrong.
A good idea. With the vast amounts of videos, there is little way to make sure of a system that can rate all videos fairly. So this method while not perfect is a decent solution on self-policing until a better option.
I self-certified my first video and 5 seconds later my video was turned from green to yellow. What is the point when the same biased reviews will still take place? What a waste of time.
Hey Tim, I think this is a great idea, but it does not seem to work very well. Even beyond machine made mistakes, the human (manual review) is 90% not accurate. I am not sure if it is specifically my content, because it is related to firearms, or other people having similar problems as well, but it is pretty strange to see the reasons for demonetization after manual review that are completely false. For example, my two previous pistol reviews: no profanity, in a safe control environment (shooting range) with proper safety gear (ear, eye protection), following all the safety measures, no modification, no advertisement of manufacturer or any sale facilitation, just plain shooting and then telling what I like and dislike about the firearm. Yet, it is demonetized by the algorithm and then confirmed by manual review with a vague reason saying that my video has either modification, sale facilitation, no safety measures, etc. So that raises some questions: what is the point of self-certification? What is the point of TH-cam policy if the TH-cam manual reviewers do not seem to follow it or look at it? Or is it simply a TH-cam anti-gun agenda?
Firearms of America, I still don’t have self-certification, but I have to request manual review on virtually every video. Most are approved, but many are not, with absolutely no consistency.
Because tv stations make deals directly with advertisers directly. When you upload to TH-cam. TH-cam/Google is the one that makes the deal with the advertisers so since they can’t guaranty what video the ad will be run against they rather air on the side of cation. Now if you upload your video to your own website and you make deals with advertisers, your free to make videos with coronavirus content as long as the advertisers are ok with it.

Which is good for everyone involved - including me, as a partner new to TH-cam. Thank you for this system on TH-cam. Actually, self-certification is a kind of filter for all creators. A creator must be confident while in YPP of their uploads whether advertiser-friendly or not. This certification reminds each and everyone to knock at suitability. But I request, the option should have been on mobile upload too. Sometimes, or most of the time, we upload videos by mobile phones to catch the uploading time, but this process does not have the self-certification option. Any way, it matters.
This is a great idea, and perfect timing because I literally got an email that a video [that didn't violate any regulations] was removed. I appealed, and it's live again. I really appreciate the self-reporting.
This was trialled with a small number of channels first, and the video hidden from people like you and me that weren't in the beta. I've heard the day 1 version of this feature was worse than the old status quo, but the current version is better than before.
Thanks for allowing this. I am hoping we can get more control. No serious person want to offend anybody yet at least trusting us versus an algorithm is great. Thanks again !
This is a fine idea. I am happy to let you know what trigger issues might be expected in my videos, rather than relying on a somewhat-idiotic algorithm! I have *no trouble* with that at all! Is it possible to backdate some of this, so that I can resubmit some videos that have been mistakenly demonetized? Looking forward to working with you on this!
I likd how before this I got demonetised on every video, because of... nothing? Literally nothing on my videos was bad, no swears, no nudity... Yet, 2 seconds after uploading I got demo- on every video, so monetising bots are/were broken af. Thanks to this - no demonetised yet.

They could start by telling us why it was demonitized to begin with... a time stamp with a policy reference would be a good start. Then we could cut it out, re upload and resubmit. How are we supposed to improve and comply if we don't know what the violation was?

People have requested manual reviews of their "limited/no ad" videos that are 100% "advertiser friendly" and got rejected for years now. In fact, manual review results have been so inconsistent that no humans could possibly be behind it because no humans would make that many mistakes.
or there are many humans, un-consistent results are more a indication of human interaction, not automation as it usually gives the exact same results each time (example, i re-uploaded a video several times, it was demonetized automatically every time, but half/half of manual reviews gave it the green light, the manual review system works as intended, it might not be perfect for the creator each and every time, but for what it is i'd not expect anything else)
the best thing is to have to avoid manual reviewing in the first place, if this new system can do that, or atleast help you in avoiding manual reviews then it's great
@Nordern: TH-cam said a while back they would hire 10,000 people to check over content but their employee numbers for the entirety of TH-cam still aren't even that high. According to Davic Zvitch (and admin of TH-cam) answering a question on Quora (Titled: "How many people work at TH-cam?"), they have only about 2,000 (Apparently due to being registered with Google though, there's more like 3k-4k) and Google as a whole a bit over 88,000. But let's say they really have a lot of humans for example: Humans can make mistakes, sure. But most of the kinds of mistakes you see made are more akin to automation because of how obvious some things are that didn't get approved upon "manual review". You said there in your experiments it ended up half and half for instance. 50% is a suspiciously high amount of flubs even for different humans looking at the same content, so I wouldn't say that is working as intended. Avoiding manual reviewing would be great, but remember that the reason why things get flagged upon upload to begin with is by automation. So it's automation for detection and automation for "manual review". Given there will always be flaws in automation, the only way to solve it is to get rid of the automation altogether. I understand that the reason "why" there's automation is because there isn't enough manpower to look over the sheer amount of content uploaded to TH-cam that may not be "advertiser friendly" and advertisers got on them over it, but what's an automated system to say what an advertiser would like anyway? A ton of stuff they wouldn't want ads on still gets ads with no issues. That's why various ad companies pulled out of TH-cam because they don't trust the system even after they implemented the automation.

Loads of content is uploaded to TH-cam every minute so you can bet there's a lot of things that get flagged and people need to set up a supposed manual review. For them to get to your video in only 30 minutes in a queue of hundreds, if not thousands of videos that get requested for "manual review" couldn't possibly have a human do it in that span of time, every time. I mean it's great that your's gets approved every time in such a short span, but it doesn't sound manual.

As long as advertisers are paying the bills for TH-cam and creators, then yes, we have to please them. The only way to get away from this is if we kick advertisers off the platform. Only way to do that is to monetarily support creators who reduce ads in return or if a ton more people sign up for TH-cam Premium. Premium removed ad space on the platform and creators get money whether their videos are suitable for advertisers or not. Someone has to foot the bill and whoever does is in control. Want to kick advertisers out of the captain's chair? Then we have to pay the money to keep the platform and creators funded.

Not many creators will jump for joy over this, but me for one, I understand the reason for changes and the necessity to implement them. As a footnote... I only wish you guys would "stop the bots" and put some REAL humans to work, especially when it comes to copyright infringement, evaluating child ratings, promoting/ad placements, and paying out (to the creators) proper royalties for OUR videos that we work so hard to produce. TH-cam is... a great service, I can't complain, IT'S TOTALLY FREE, and it's virtually unlimited video storage. "Can't beat that!!!"

I've had a live stream with over 120,000 views and counting that's been under review for over 6 months, 6 freaking months and over 90,000 views and still it's a yellow icon with under review, the system is a scam, like the virus hoax

You recieved it now because now you will soon be getting this function. Functions are rolled out slowly over time. Not everyone recieve them at the same time for obvious reasons.

First off, we love this platform. It has given us an opportunity to work from home as people with disabilities. For that, we are grateful. In addition, we are able to build a community that has similar interests and are eager to support you as an artist. Having said this, there are a few problems with it. The self certification feature does NOT help live streamers! It's just a fact. Next, we as creators would love to see TH-cam be more aggressive about protecting creators against fake take down claims, false reporting, and honestly, other creators that may be using the system to target others based on jealousy or other nefarious reasons. This platform could be better than it has ever been if you guys worked with AVERAGE creators more. The big guys are doing just fine. The little guys are the ones in a dog eat dog limbo out here. One step forward and two steps back‼ I honestly believe things could get better. But you all need to start listening to micro creators more.

Took our first swing [and a miss] at this new self-rating system. We had multiple folks look very carefully and skeptically at both the self-cert questions and at the actual policy/violation rules for our topic. We selected "Hunting-related content or guns shown in a safe environment like a shooting range (Allow ads)" for a recent gun review. We do not sell guns or do any sales pitches for people who do. Just an honest 3rd-party review and a very docile gun video by any standard. Demonitized out the gate by your algorithm. So we requested a manual review [which we always have to do for everything because it is always yellow from the start]. Demonitized again... for good this time. Can't tell you how many video's just like this one are monetized [many]... including many on our own channel. So the question is why did this most recent video get the ax? We still have no answers and no clue... actually we are left more confused than ever before.

That's an amazing tool, but is useless if you upload a video totally able for monetize and your review is good and youtube decides to put limitted ads or no ads and we have to ask for a revision and lose a lot of monetizable views.

I am very excited about this! I do hope that TH-cam's reviewers are much more consistent on monetization. For example, I produce some videos on firearms. For example, I have four different firearms that I shoot on a public government-owned and operated range. Out of these four videos, 2 may be fully monetized while the other two run limited adds even if all four videos follow the same general format. Hopefully, this will reduce this problem.
I've never had an issue with monetization, my content is always 100 percent original and safe

Thanks for this. I have been on youtube a long time and joined to get my Music out there. It is a great platform for self-publication. Monetization is a bonus for me but I appreciate others rely on it as a main source of income. It is certainly a better way to get heard than doing The Old Grey Whistle Test (LOL) or touring around with Manuscripts. I think self-certification is a step forward. I hope all the creators apply it with the right intentions.
I don't mean to seem difficult. However, all of my videos are marked with a yellow icon immediately upon upload. I have to ask for a manual review each and every time. Additionally, the manual review results in inconstant responses based upon content friendly guidelines which are vague, to put it mildly. My videos NEVER have offensive language, nudity, sexual innuendos, violence or the like. Still, many of my videos are marked with yellow icons simply because my channel is firearms and second amendment oriented. There is never an explanation as to why one video receives a yellow icon while another very similar video received a green icon. It's like going to the DMV. The answer always depends upon which window I walk up to. In your case, it depends upon the personal bias of the manual reviewer. In that environment, it is impossible for me to "self certify" with any hope of actually complying with your dysfunctional and bureaucratic monetization system. Consequently, I won't bother. When you folks can make your guidelines crystal clear, then I'll be happy to take part in this effort. Until then I'll just upload my videos with the understanding that all of them will be marked with a yellow icon as per usual. At which point, I'll request a manual review.
Same with my channel! In 10 video 9 of them are in yellow icon! I talk about firearms so every time I upload a video it’s immediately yellow icon!

Judging from some videos I've seen from TH-camrs, getting the yellow symbol automatically restricts video reach. Why then, would a creator deliberately hamstring their ability to get their video seen. Or has there been a change where demonetization doesn't suppress the video in the recommendeds?
An extra option where you can give a clarification to potential "non adverteser friendly" part in your video preemptively would be a great addition to this new system, so we as creators can be more open about our content and the reviewers can judge accordingly the first time based on our clarification. If that were to be added it would save alot of time and stress..

What about video game violence? The only part where this is addressed in the guidelines is here "Violence in the normal course of video gameplay is generally acceptable for advertising, but montages where gratuitous violence is the focal point is not." It's so vague and unclear. Does it really refer to video games when it says "video gameplay" ? What on earth does "gratuitous violence is the focal point" mean? FPS shooter gameplay won't get accepted? It doesn't make sense to me. Please someone explain. I want to comply if it's reasonable.
From my understanding, that means that a FPS game is fine as it's the normal course of the game, but if you go to GTA and starts bullying and murdering pedestrians for no reason, than it's not fine. Also, GTA videos might get limited if the video contains drugs or mature contents. That's what I understood, I could be wrong.

I've just joined the partner program this week and I'm quite happy with the automated system. There was only one I thought it got wrong out of 280 videos. I appealed it and it was reinstated very quickly. I don't swear much, but there's a couple of videos in which I do and the automated system said it was fine, whereas I would have tagged it 'light profanity' and it would have been restricted. It seems like a lot of work to have to fill out a form for each video myself. After creating video descriptions, thumbnails and subtitles, I don't think I'd have the energy left. I'd rather just let the automated system do it and appeal anything I think it gets wrong.
A good idea. With the vast amounts of videos, there is little way to make sure of a system that can rate all videos fairly. So this method while not perfect is a decent solution on self-policing until a better option.
I self-certified my first video and 5 seconds later my video was turned from green to yellow. What is the point when the same biased reviews will still take place? What a waste of time.

Hey Tim, I think this is a great idea, but it does not seem to work very well. Even beyond machine made mistakes, the human (manual review) is 90% not accurate. I am not sure if it is specifically my content, because it is related to firearms, or other people having similar problems as well, but it is pretty strange to see the reasons for demonetization after manual review that are completely false. For example, my two previous pistol reviews: no profanity, in a safe control environment (shooting range) with proper safety gear (ear, eye protection), following all the safety measures, no modification, no advertisement of manufacturer or any sale facilitation, just plain shooting and then telling what I like and dislike about the firearm. Yet, it is demonetized by the algorithm and then confirmed by manual review with a vague reason saying that my video has either modification, sale facilitation, no safety measures, etc.
So that raises some questions: what is the point of self-certification? What is the point of TH-cam policy if the TH-cam manual reviewers do not seem to follow it or look at it? Or is it simply a TH-cam anti-gun agenda?
Firearms of America, I still don’t have self-certification, but I have to request manual review on virtually every video. Most are approved, but many are not, with absolutely no consistency.

Because tv stations make deals directly with advertisers directly. When you upload to TH-cam. TH-cam/Google is the one that makes the deal with the advertisers so since they can’t guaranty what video the ad will be run against they rather air on the side of cation. Now if you upload your video to your own website and you make deals with advertisers, your free to make videos with coronavirus content as long as the advertisers are ok with it.

Thank you for allowing us the feedback we share with you CREATORS in this video This video is good, concise and well presented I appreciate TH-cam's interaction with creators and it's a good start but needs to go more in depth. Which is good for everyone involved - including me, as a partner new to TH-cam. I hope that the video will be in Arabic, because most Arab content creators cannot understand the video in English, and in order to be able to express it well, it must be in Arabic.
I feel like this is a step in the right direction but definitely TH-cam needs more.

Thank you for this system on TH-cam. Actually, self-certification is a kind of filter for all creators. A creator must be confident while in YPP of their uploads whether advertiser-friendly or not. This certification reminds each and everyone to knock at suitability. But I request, the option should have been on mobile upload too. Sometimes, or most of the time, we upload videos by mobile phones to catch the uploading time, but this process does not have the self-certification option. Any way, it matters.
