Unfortunately the only way of knowing if they'd accept her being a no star is if she takes the risk and tells them. Anything we say one way or another is just an assumption

I think that's the intention. They want to keep the viewer guessing on whether people outside Ivy's hometown would accept her if they knew she was starless.. The only way not just Ivy, but the viewer as well can possibly know is if she tells the truth; it's a leap of faith honestly.

And unfortunately this is a really niche series a 12 episode season is probably about as much as they could manage to get. And considering I've heard 0 people other than you talking about it I wouldn't hold my breath for season 2
