- THRIFT WITH ME throughout a number of the BIGGEST Charity shops within the UK.... Like always hoping to find some retro goodies!!! And I can show you what I buy to trade in to CEX and how I do it!!!
What is a Charity shop you say???? A charity shop (British English), thrift shop or thrift store (American English) or opportunity shop (Australian English and New Zealand English) is a retail establishment run by a charitable organization to raise money.
Charity shops are a type of social enterprise. They sell mainly used goods such as clothing, books, music albums, shoes, DVDs, toys, and furniture donated by members of the public, and are often staffed by volunteers. Because the items for sale were obtained for free, and business costs are low, the items can be sold at competitive prices.

I know the weather was a shocker!! Yeah I can’t believe the amount of people I talk to now collectors that have shifted in to digital or coinop / stream systems

I have just been busy with work, but have 7 videos now to edit and update 😂 which are toy fairs and mainly boot sales, will try and get a few done this weekend.

May I ask what you use to scan the items you find? I need to make money to travel, and I need every bit I can.
So I use the apps on my phone, so eBay sold listing is a good one. You can say the barcode and prices come up or CEX app for media as it gives you a cash price and voucher price too
Scott pretty new to your channel. It would be good to know how much trade in value you got on those DVDs.
I will start doing that going forward. I did do it last year, but stopped due to being 3 or 4 bags for life in to CEX then wait for a day for it all to be processed 😂 I just trade 3 bags of DVD box sets and a few keyboards for £396 in credit to spend. I usually grad a console then a few games.
@@ScottsRetroCollectables Ha they must hate when you turn up. You was also lucky being able to go in the back of the charity shop. Normally staff only for health and safety reasons. Is it only boxsets you trade in? You don't bother with single blu rays.

Hi mate! Great to meet you!! I only picked up 2 games and 1 blu ray. I unfortunately left the island on Sunday evening, so didn’t get to go on Monday. But coming back over in August!!! Hope you found some good pieces!!
Didn't buy anything Sunday. Did get a few bits on a sale trail on Saturday tho. Inc 20 starbucks city mugs for £40. Didn't go to chale but heard it was immense with 200ish sellers and over an hour que to get into the field. May see you in August if I haven't found a big score by then and retired :)
