ABB Direct Replacement Retrofill Installation: Legacy-GE AKR to Emax 2 UL

The Emax 2 Retrofill Circuit Breaker is designed to retrofill the existing low-voltage circuit breaker compartment with minimal downtime. Emax 2 Retrofill breakers replace the existing legacy breaker with a modern breaker without the need for any cubicle bus or racking modifications. Fully compatible with existing legacy GE AKD-5,6, 8 and 10-switchgear, the Emax 2 Retrofill Circuit Breaker has the same, or greater, interrupting rating as the legacy breaker. The Retrofill circuit breakers are UL 1066 listed and meet the standards and testing criteria of the latest version of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), National Electrical Manufacturers’ Association (NEMA), and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, Inc. (IEEE).
