    The first and only person I've seen to make a tutorial for green screening without using image sequence! I don't know why anyone would want to use imsge sequence. This is so much easier! Thank you! 🙏

      I know right! I am right there with you. I avoided working with footage cus there was so many steps to setting it up. This is so much easier. I Think it appeared in 5.2 but don't remember anyone mentioning it in the release videos.

      Damn, yeah I had thought that (Unreal's historic inability to handle) video was just the big ugly secret Unreal was hiding as it promoted itself as a production tool, but now it legit can be. Thanks again@@azielarts

    • @azielarts
      @azielarts  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! Yes so for something already chroma keyed in another software just import it like normal, but in your media plate material, plug the alpha of the texture straight into the transparency input in the material instead of in to the chromekeyer. It should work then

    quick question tho, is it possible to transform and use keyframes on media plates?

    • @azielarts

      @azielarts that's awesome! For some reason when I move it onto my sequence the transform key frames don't come up

    What about producing mp4's inside of UE 5 and using them in another scene in UE 5. Is that as simple as a mask setting setup in project settings?

  • @dbcontre
    @dbcontre ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Hey Aziel! I'm able to get everything to work but once I get it into sequencer I start getting all of these laggy playback issues, and then when I render out of the movie que it maybe plays like 3 frames of my mp4 and then stops animating. Has this happened to you before? My Mp4 is only like 36 mbs so I figured it wouldn't have too big of an issue.

      I'm also struggling with this, I still haven't found a solution

    • @beyondus2508
      @beyondus2508 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @ARQYN I found a good workaround. So you can convert your footage to a clip with alpha, like alpha pro res or a transparent image sequence. Then you can add a image sequence player or a video clip player. Find your image sequence or video and add it into a media player (make sure to tick the box that adds it as a meterial) and find your clip through that, add it into your sequencer.
      Very very short version of what I did, but just TH-cam play image sequence in ue5 and you should find everything you need. Took a bit to do but works fantastic. Let me know if you win!👊

    Sick Aziel!. Bro, question. is there anyway to make a camera round in circles? like if it were inside an helicopter and taking an aerial shot? because all i can do is editing the axis in the film editor and doesnt come out good, and is a pain in the arse :/ .

    • @azielarts
      @azielarts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Awesome! Thanks 🙏 Ooh you mean how to actually animate the camera so it is smooth? There are two options. 1) I. The camera there is an option to choose an actor for the camera to "look at" if you add your character to that field then the camera will always point at the character no matter where you move it. That way you can animate the camera sweeping around the helicopter and it will feel smooth. 2) you can create an empty actor and parent the camera under it. Keep the empty actor in the center of the helicopter, move camera into position, and just rotate the empty actor to orbit the camera.does that make sense?

    • @UE5n00b
      @UE5n00b ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, and making a proper circle around a point. Yes it does make sense : ) ill look around how to link the camera to that actor after placing it . Thanks man!@@azielarts

    Can you explan how I can render greenscreen footage from unreal without ghosting in Rendering?

    • @azielarts
      @azielarts  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am currently looking into that. It did not for me when I rendered through the render que and used the override antialiesing settings. But I am using an rtx 2080ti and some people seem to get more of it depending on their graphics card. Using the media plate is also supposed to help with it to. You could also try using an exr image sequence for your footage with the media Plate asset. That is supposed to give the best results

    Hey! I've been following all your tutorials on the channel. I created a PCG scene and everything, when it comes to importing my mediaplate, im running into some trouble. I was following the video perfectly the first time around, but when I re-opened unreal, deleted the previous media plane and tried to start from scratch again, the media plane is just invisible. I can't see it when I import my footage, is that something you ran into? What would you recommend to fix it? I already un-checked the plugin and re-checked it, and it didn't work :/

    I'm blown away at how talented you are. Keep up the great work! How can I transfer procedural objects with the textures from blender to Unreal Engine 5? I’ve been playing around with it with the “send to Unreal” pipeline plug-in from Unreal and it works for objects with basic materials. All I have to do is connect the “baked” materials to the material instance in Unreal. But the “Procedural” is a bit hard. I got the “Quick Baker” add on from blender and it works baking the textures and deleting the original textures on the procedural one then applying the baked materials on there to export but sometimes it gets a bit janky. Is there a better and or quicker workflow? I’m open to all options free and paid

    • @azielarts
      @azielarts  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Wow thanks so much!!! Tbh I have less experience with Blender. What kind of procedural objects are you working with? You might end up with better results rebuilding it with Unreal Engines procedural tools. Sorry not sure how to help you with that one :(
