I'm like you feeling I'm done and leave it for awhile! Then I get re-energized and get back out there. What a great year you had in your jungle garden! I'm glad for the first hard freeze when I get a real break, then.......I'm looking at seeds to start
Wish I had energy today as I need to clean up plants also as I’m feeling done this year😅. Trays that need cleaned and frost cloth to get out because it might get close to frost in morning. It’s definitely a time to figure out what needs moved or added. I am not one to waste money on mums and grateful for marigolds that reseed. The other big winners are cockscomb and definitely Gomphrena this year and of course dahlias. The reseeded giant sunflowers I have to saw down and the stumps will remain for a couple years. The way the birds and squirrels are attacking them tells me winter might actually be a winter this year. I have fall cauliflower and still waiting on Tabasco peppers as they take forever. I probably should harvest the rest of peppers today and just worry about covering fall crop. Had a tremendous turnout of bell peppers of all colors this year unlike any other and huge! My biggest drag is looking at an area of flowers that grass has started in. Maybe I should just take out the few flowers and cardboard over it. It’s that fine grass that is impossible to know if you got it all. Dianthus are low matting flowers and it’s managed to get mixed in. Don’t mind weeding a bit, but this is more than I care for. Thanks for your take on the spinach, I wondered about it.
Hi, Roxana!❤ Not much gardening over here. Another medical issue we're trying to figure out. Soon, though. Hopefully. I do get out for an hour of weeding or planting here and there when I have the energy. 😊 It is so good to see you in your garden.🥰
Our garden needs a real clean up, but we are calling it Scofield Jungle now instead of Scofield Farm. lol. Your garden is looking very pretty, even in the middle of clean up.
What do you do with all your garden debris?! Do you have a compost pile? I’m not permitted to have one where I live so I would have to bag all of that up for the garbage!
You sold me ...I'm ordering Black Cherry tomato seed for next year. All I grew this year was San Marzano tomatoes and even though the harvestable handfull were tasty, I'll never grow them again. Three tomato sandwiches from 9 plants! ...must be the wrong tomato for my climate. I threw the plants away yesterday, with green tomatoes on the vines that had been hanging there for over a month, not growing, not ripening. Good Riddance San Marzano,. The seed pack is in the garbage. In this video between 4:23 and 4:40, there are a lot of gorgeous strappy leaves. That's not garlic, is it? It is perfect.
@@SoilandMargaritas My lemongrass is quite narrow. Do you know if the width of the leaves increase with age or ....I understand there are two types of lemongrass, and would the width of the leaves be a way to distinguish between them?
Honestly, I’m not sure, I start mine from seed every year that I buy from baker creeks. Lemongrass grows well here if given the space and it is not picky
I’m so appreciating your content. Something very cozy, comforting and peaceful about them. Besides the beauty, good tips and well edited videos!
You are so welcome!
You can feel the change in the air 🍁. It’s always strange to see houses without fences. Feels good to clear out those beds though. Thanks for sharing
Your garden is beautiful!!! I love how many plants you put so close, you just gave me some inspiration for next year😍
Awesome!!!
Always feels good to do a cleanup 😊 glad to see that you didn't get any damage from the storms.
Yes! Thank you!

I feel like a lot of people are saying the same thing about this winter, I'm a bit nervous but, it will be what it will be :)
I feel you!! Exactly my sentiment🙂↕️

LOL I know what you mean friend! I bet that jungle is giving you so much joy thou.
My Mexican Sunflowers got blown over as well. It was kinda hard to toss them into the compost pile since they still had so many flowers!
I hear you. I feel better knowing this happened so close to our first frost instead of way back then in mid summer you know :)

I’m not permitted to have one where I live so I would have to bag all of that up for the garbage!
There is a special truck that comes and gets most of the brush/plant debri here but the rest will go into bags and in the trash
💚

I have tried san Marcano too and it did very poorly here for me as well 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
That grassy plant is lemongrass which I’m gonna harvest soon
