    Best explanation.
I feel very proud that we have such majestic ancient architecture. It must be saved and restored at all cost for our future generations to experience.

    knowing the structures-
towards the end of 12th century AD, the first ruler of slave dynasty - Qutubuddin Aibak laid the foundation for qutub minar. the writings of this time period tells that qutubuddin was able to build only the ground and first floor of this building. and rest of the levels were added by his successor Iltutmish. it took 20-21 yrs to complete the minar . it is also said that the last chauhan ruler of Delhi - Prithvi raj chauhan has made qutub minar so that his daughter can do pooja/archana of yamuna river from the top of the minar. but it's complete architecture is still present in Ghazni and indicates mughal/muslim islamic architecture.
    but there are some inscriptions(carvings
0 in Devanagari script on the walls which suggests that some Hindu architects were also employed in the making process.
it has a height of 238 foot and 1 inch. and total of 389 steps is the highest Minar in India - which is made up of stones.
Qutub Minar and Humayun's tomb are the only International memorials in delhi.
It has 5 floors and has a dia of 47 foot , 3 inches on ground while on top it is 9 foot. (it has carvings in Devanagari and parsi script) , thunderbolt strike on this minar has also affected the carvings on it.
the first three floors from the ground has use of red sandstone while in which the first two floors appears to be more pinkish and the third floor appears red in colour.
on the top two floors there is a use of white Marble without constraint.
the height of first floor is 94 foot 11 inches and it is made up of red sandstone.
just like the Ground floor , the first floor is made up of 24 pillars. (12 rounded and 12 with sharp edges.) the pillars have six horizontal strips in which there is carvings of flowers leaves and jaimatiya adornment( monumentation or beautification) and arabi script engravings .
    * the first strip tells about - qutubuddin
    second strip glorifies Mohd. ghori
while third strip has verses from quran .
4th strip again dedicated to Mohd. Ghori
5 th strip has 99 names of Allah in arabic.
6 th strip is again engraved by verses from Quran.

I visited this entire complex and understood that it was a hindu temple built by Hindu kings. Later Muslim kings came and demolish it and tried to remove the Hindu symbols from there. Muslim kings tried to draw their religious symbol to deceive the next generation. But they were unable to do it. If you will see for yourself you can understand I am not wrong.
