No of cores may play a vital role in CPU Bottlenecking... So Using I3 with RTX will definitely overpower the Cpu and causes lot of heat ejection and after 1-2 minutes u face a severe fps loss and overheating of you PC even I5 is not suggested for RTX series... So i think it's an Bad Idea to Use this on Grid....and the thing is u never have full efficiency of ur Graphics card it will be like around 35-65 % of utilisation....So u can go with the GTX series...maybe like 1050 or 1060....
