I have discovered a similar approach, I use the Inkscape XML tool to modify an SVG and set the appropriate CSS attributes. Then, I add the SVG to the webpage using d3 read xml and proceed with the d3 select then. However, your video shows a much simpler method, using Illustrator instead. Very interesting video... My knowledge of javascript is extremely poor and I was wondering if you'd show a way to integrate mouse hover with this method. By placing the cursor over the text "africa" for example and making it appear all the pink circles. Thanks for these videos!
