Absolutely love the Bass guitar... that dude grooves!!!
I believe the best single word description is "GROOVY". Pretty sure I hurt my speakers with this one!!!
Para una noche de Sábado como esta entre colegas hartos de cava. Ezpelectacular como diría Bart Simpson. 😘😘
‚this horn section is like bacon n eggs on a saturday mornin‘ 😏😏😏
This is technically not Soul Power, it’s Soul Power ‘74. All those added horn riffs.
the original sounds so bland/boring compared to this, maybe it had to do with his venture with p-funk.
@@gandalfshakur8235 I disagree! Maceo’s single from 1974 has some of the best sax playing he’s ever done. James Brown used the exact backing track from his 1971 hit SOUL POWER and added horns to Maceo’s 1974 version.
@@PaulDA2000 i both agree and dis, The bong made it quirky in fact butter
not sure if I annoyed my neighbours or just provided them with great music my poor amplifier sure got punished though:)
Pure funk
Simply... this is real FUNK
When is macro coming back to Wilmington, DEL?
It's so hard to find live versions of this '74, like uptown up or pass the peas. This is only the third different version I've ever heard.
I was looking for different live version of his that I had. This will do for now.I wish maceo, Peewee, and Fred Wesley would do something again
🐐🐐
who is on bass?

It's not Skeet, but Christian McBride, who was playing on this recording/concert...
Skeet was on 'Roots'n'Grooves' alongside Dennis Chambers...
