What I do was never intended for mass consumption and as I’m not part of a guitar dealership trying to get you to buy these instruments and putting money behind sponsored posts then my growth will always be organic and that’s the way I like it. Live performance guitar should be comfortable + eye-catching.

The tone of almost all guitars is good great these days.
@ Thank you for your unsolicited and unneeded wisdom. I played professionally for my living. I know what a live instrument needs to be - for me at least. And I don’t agree that all guitars sound great these days. I’d go as far as to say that’s objectively nonsensical.

That's a cool instrument. It takes courage to be an innovator. Acoustic guitar with a sound hole pickup into an electric guitar amp is also something that merits trying. As long as you can defeat feedback, there are good tones to be had, even with cheap pick-ups. Kurt Vile does this with his Martin OO (or it could be an OOO).
The acoustic tone is fantastic. Lively, rich, well balanced... It seems that Tigre can be a beast in many different scenarios. Wow!

I played one of these at Fretboard Summit. It was an awkward conversation at the booth but the guitar just wasn’t really built for what I do. It was nice to see something other than a D28 clone that day.

Absolutely! I’ll admit I’m a traditionalist. Not in to blingy guitars. Just picked up my first Michael Bashkin guitar. That speaks to my style predilections. That said, the Le Tigre has a sound I love.

I do have a wonderful set of ziricote which is 32 years old. Sides and backs are large enough even for a jumbo guitar. I also bought a fitting carpathian spruce top together with the ziricote set. As I am too old now for a new guitar built with that wonderful tonewood somebody else can get IT. Just write write a message and we'll see...No cracks, no splitting, No wormholes, no blemishes, edges are sealed perfectly with a bit of wax.

@@MichaelWatts TH-cam offered me links to other demonstrations of Lame Horse guitars and these guys really know how to create a sonic masterpiece in wood.

It's right on the edge of giving those sounds that make a thinline not sound that great, but it just doesn't do it. Weird. Has a great sound. 👍
